Manny's Barber Shop — Local services in Monroe

Came here on an appointment I made the same day and didn't have the best experience. Don't know the name of my barber but he was a bald guy with a beard and he did not seem friendly at all. I arrived 7 minutes late for a basic haircut due to traffic and a busy schedule, and he told me he could still take me. Tried to crack a joke to lighten the mood and he just snapped at me to tell him what I wanted him to do. Never talked to me once for the entire rest of the session. All the other clients seemed to be having nice conversations and joking with their barbers, and I don't mind not talking, but he just seemed pissed I came late even though I told him he didn't have to take me. When I went up front to pay no one had told me they only take cash so I handed him my card and he rolled his eyes at me as he said they only take cash. No where on the website did it say they only take cash and I didn't read their tiny sign on the counter before I tried to pay because he was rushing me out 5 minutes early. The haircut itself was fine but I've gotten a better job done on a walk in for Supercuts so I don't know that it was really worth it. I want to especially call out Tina. She has been cutting my boys hair since they could sit in her chair and her cuts have always been perfect. Sometimes when the 'new look' isn't what the boys wanted in the end, she was always ready to make any and all adjustments - even if after a few days time had passed. Tina is always responsive and attentive to any special requests and makes sure everyone leaves her chair happy - or she makes it right! Can't say enough about Tina or Manny's -...

This place is top notch. The ownership is professional, the environment is inviting and the staff have the skills to match. It can be difficult to find a barbershop that is the right fit and is consistent in the delivery of their services- Manny’s always exceeds my expectations and I’m grateful to have found a place where my son and I can get our hair cut. I rarely give recommendations but I promise Manny’s is worth a leap of faith.
