Not sure what is going on there as a whole. My wife and I dropped off her phone and had an issue diagnosed. Paid the $40 diagnostic fee and was told what the issue was. No problems at this point. Was then informed by the front desk employee (who was admittedly a new employee - no issues with him) that the guy who fixes the phones would be back in the next day all day. Stopped back and dropped off the phone again the next day to have the repairs done. Was told that the repair guy wasn't in yet and probably would be within the next few minutes. Again, no problem. Left the phone and went about our day. I called back in a couple of hours later to check on the status (and see if the repair tech had come to work) and was told by the repair guy that the phone was apart and he was working on it. He said he wasn't sure exactly what the issue was, but he was trying to pin it down. Again, no problem. He said he would call when he was done. A couple more hours went by and seeing that we had nothing else to do in Monroeville, we stopped by to get a status or pick up the phone. The front desk employee told us the repair guy had stepped out. Tired of waiting, we asked for our phone back. We then came to find out that it hadn't even been opened up to begin with. Basically, a day was wasted waiting for the phone. $40 blown. While the front desk gentlemen was very nice and professional, the service stopped there. The repair tech, whom also just happens to be the owner, dropped the ball and in one case out right falsely informed us of status. Can't in good faith recommend this business...
Read moreBelieve Shawn is the "top dog"/lead manager for all CPR-Monroeville operations. Warm, wonderful person, extremely knowledgeable and aim to develop a mutually-beneficial, long-term relationship with his customers. Not having insurance on the front-end of my Ultra S23 (multiple cracks on my device's screen) --- to my pleasant surprise - the cracks and damage were on the screen protector and NOT on device itself ...the OLED (display type) and Amoled (display technology). Massive relief! We switched out to a new screen protector, Shawn installed it ---all along talking. I then told him T-Mobile will have their periodic Insurance offering and I'll be targeting that feature. He mentioned to me - I might want to explore CPR's insurance (Akko) offering (as there's a optimal savings versus T-Mobile's Insurance feature). I'm reviewing this currently and leaning to going with Shawn's Akko option. His efforts with me (I left very impressed, relieved and happy), pave the way for me to have a longer-term relationship with Shawn/CPR-Monroeville. Happy New Year and much gratitude...
Read moreI had my Motorola Nexus 6 repaired here about a month ago. The screen that was ordered took 3 or 4 days longer than promised to arrive. The repair was finished promptly, but not well. Both covers on the microphone and earpiece were loose and wobbly when I got my phone back, and then fell out all together and got lost because they were installed improperly. Now, one month later, a hairline crack appeared on the replacement screen. The phone has not been dropped or damaged, and has been in a strong bumper case, so I would assume the replacement screens that they order are of poor quality, despite the fairly high price of $200+. When I checked to see if any kind of guarantee or warranty came with the product and service, they said that there was nothing that they could do. Not even an offer to make a deal on buying another screen. I only rate them 2 stars for the fact that they are friendly, my phone was finished quickly, and they offered to drop it off down the street at my place of employment. I do not, however, plan to use them in the future, and would not recommend...
