Retreat at Barber's Hill — Local services in Mont Belvieu

My mother has been living at The Retreat for over 3 years now. She moved in shortly after they opened. She is 88 years old and loves it there. Her apartment is perfect for her and she loves her view of the sunsets. The people living there are like family and watch out for one another. The Retreat has a great activity calendar each month from Bingo, movie days along with popcorn, candy and sodas, monthly birthday celebrations, workout programs, live entertainment, etc. They have a shuttle to take them to the store each week. Each month they go out to eat at different restaurants. On the days The Retreat has nothing planned the residents get together and play games or listen to one of the residents who plays guitar and sings. Always something to do. I have had the privilege of working with seven different residents at The Retreat over the past two+ years, and every single one of them has had wonderful things to say about the community and its staff nd they’ve all spoken so highly of living here… And I saw for myself quickly just what they meant by that. Alesia, Janie, and Javier go above and beyond to make the residents feel welcome, cared for, and engaged. I have been wanting to live here for over a year, and last week it all happened. I think we are going to love it here. I can’t say enough about the management here. They have been very kind and helpful. Alecia has been extremely kind and is always there to help everyone. She loves our furry children and takes good care of those who need her help at the drop of a hat. She greets everyone with a smile and is always kind to everyone. You can tell she loves her job.
