First time I came here I was curious and left with a handful of different kinds of popcorn. Really tasty and some very unique flavors, one I didn't like but the others more than made up for it. I saw they had regular food as well and plans to come back today.
If any of you are from Illinois, you know how good a proper Chicago dog, which no one in Madison knows how to do. Michael's frozen whatever had the worst to the point I threw it in the trash. THIS random little place, has the great I've had since I moved here and I'll put it up there with the guys who run the stands at home Depot.
Everything, all the ingredients tasted fresh, the hotdog was a real Vienna beef, they had the proper relish, everything was just perfect. So kudos and I'll be back. I used to occasionally drive to South Beloit to get a proper one which was a 45 minute drive I did very occasionally. Now I know this place is 15 minutes from me, they're gonna know me by name here real quick haha.
Prices are a little on the high side but you pay for quality and support a place that's not a franchise and part of the community.
The decor is really cool too, lots of vintage lunch boxes and some toys here and there hanging. The staff both times were very nice. This place has it all.

Read moreWhen I first discovered this place, I didn't know what to expect. There were bags of popcorn all over the place with vintage/antique decor. It reminded me of a hotdog shop I had stopped at in downtown Lake Mills, once. Never before did I imagine that I'd try my first Chicago hot dog in Wisconsin! Hah! It was delicious! The prices are very good considering how many toppings they add on to your hotdog. You have to spend a $5 minimum to shop there if you're paying with a card. I bought some of their Vinegar & Salt Popcorn and their Caramel Kettle Corn. Talk about scrumptious! The sodas are reasonably priced, also. The Kraut dog was phenomenal. Their restrooms are for employees only, which I found to be odd. One more thing is that they don't leave out condiments, in case you want extra ketchup/mustard. However, they're really nice and they will add on ketchup/mustard for you. I caught a glimpse of young Frank Sinatra on a poster in what looked like an office. That was fun! I think it's a cute and unique place. They have Cajun flavored popcorn. I almost tried it, except that the lady helping me told me that it's hotter than Jalapenos!! Yikes! Haha! I'm...
Read moreI can't say enough good things about Lil' Buddy's. Lee has got a real "wiener" here! Being a Chicago dog lover I was excited a few years back to hear that Lil' Buddy's was serving the real thing. Starts with a great poppy seed bun, perfectly steamed, then a great hotdog with all the fixings. But wait...there more, way more! Lee turned me on to the Chili-Mac Dog, and I haven't looked back. Same great bun, same great hotdog, this time topped with Chili, Macaroni & Cheese, barbeque sauce, mustard, and onions. My mouth is watering as I type this! Fantastic! Lastly, you can’t leave without getting a bag of popcorn. Whether it’s the standard buttered, popped fresh, or my favorite Lil’ Buddy’s Mix, Lee is always coming up with crazy and delicious combinations. Oregon is lucky to have such a unique business. It’s...
