I have been coming here for years and there are definitely great people that work there! Prices have gone much higher but so has everything. I’m leaving three stars based on how I felt yesterday (and probably would leave way less if I didn’t really like a good amount of the workers) My total came to $564 but the ATM they had would only let me take out $400, tried a few times on a different machine, it didn’t work. I was bummed I had to put back an item but kept my cool. I noticed the security guard staring at me and then walked over to stand where I was which I didn’t think much of, I started playing with my nails when I was waiting, and when I walked out I dropped my dollar & the security guard was right behind me (following me outside) to tell me that I dropped something, which was fine I said yes my dollar thank you! Then they walked with me and I thought they were going to mention the atm but instead told me not to come here stoned, if I showed up stoned they would call the cops …. I was walking to the passenger side door of my mothers car… I didn’t drive there. I was immediately taken aback and felt extremely self conscious the whole day, could not get the comment out of my head. This new security guard made me straight up feel UGLY, like something was wrong with my eyes, cus I know damn well I was frustrated with the card reader and was wide awake that’s for sure. I had put on fake eyelashes and wondered if my makeup came out bad which I shouldn’t of even of been thinking of. It’s just a sad day when I realize how much money I spend there and to be treated so disrespectfully as well. To have my mom ask what did that person say to you next to the car and me having to say on the verge of tears “they thought I was on drugs…” I did nothing wrong for someone to follow me outside and say they’ll call the cops on me for the way I look. As a medical marijuana patient the comment was extremely triggering and I hope to speak to someone about this. Please let the security guard not to comment on how people look, it clearly...

Being totally new to medical marjuana and dispensaries I had no idea what to expect when I walked thru these doors a year ago. The waiting area is sunny with comfortable chairs and the staff sit in a reception area...it's just like a Dr's office! They laminated my brand new card and we scheduled my intake with the pharmacist. I was so close to tears from exhaustion (fibromyalgia related sleep issues being my reason for being there) that waiting for a week for relief was too much and tears ran down my face. These people were so compassionate they checked to see if I could get something that day. I did! A year later and now there's Adult Use customers. I'm not a fan of how busy it is now. The staff is fantastic about seperating medical/adult use customers at the door and we medical customers have our own waiting room. The last time I was there was the busiest I'd ever seen it and they lost my medical card, but they printed me a new 1 for that day and I still have a backup here at home. I've tried to go to the dispensary in Willimantic in a pinch because it is a few miles closer to my house. After not being able to open the front door (buzz in only), told they were only doing online when their website still said walk-in was accepted, then not being able to place an order on their glitchy website because it wouldn't do what it (and the faceless doorbell voice) said it would, I will never go anywhere else except The Botanist! UPDATE: I guess we can't leave 2 reviews of one place , but this is my newest review as of dec13th, 2023 and this place has gone down the tubes completely. And want to make it clear it is NOT the OLD STAFF that is the problem. There is no inventory to service the medical community and its completely geared toward the recreational crowd. There another dispensary holding a complete list of products and there is nothing here. And there are enough suppliers. There are no flowers on the menu and if there is the astronomical prices for the percentages. It's dosent even seem like you care to change it either. And being a medical patient means nothing anymore and that unfortunate. I am still remains loyal at this point but finding it hard to keep coming because there is no product to buy. I hope it gets better soon, there's so much opportunity to make money in this new industry and we aren't seeing that much progress sadly.

I love the staff, Hilary, Paula and Olga just to name a few, forgive me girls if I didn't remember your name. You are all great. The downfall of this dispensary is the amout you have to spend before you get a discount during their sales.....150$ minimum to get 5% off is crazy! They need to make it more affordable for patients. And even though smoking is Recreational now, their are still people who treat this like medication......I think that point has gone out the window once it became Legal for...
