Dollar General — Local services in Montville

They should have a sign that says we don't like black people. Basically I tried to buy something that Said 3.60 on clearance on the display. When I get to the register it rings up to almost 10 bucks. I say it says 3.60 on the display. They immediately don't believe me. So I go and get the whole display so they can see the price on It. They then proceed to examine it as if the item I had was somehow different then the display items When they realize it's the same they then ask me with an attitude if I wanted them to get the manager to change the price. I said but of course. So they huff and puff and go get the manager. Whom then comes to me.amd says after looking at me as if I didn't belong amd stated she could not override the items price but she could take it off. I was confused and before I could respond she walked away telling the other cashier to take the item off. So I thanked her for being rude and just walked off without paying for anything. Now I was working and I had a trainee riding with me who happened to be white. So I went out and asked him to go purchase said item and guess what. He got it and when it rang up the wrong price he got it discounted no problem it took all of 8 minutes. So when he came out with the item I then took it back into the store to return it. You should have seen there faces. Oh and that transaction took about 25 minutes by the way. Lol. What i want to know is what do you folks get from your hatred for us? Ugly...

This was my 1st time in this location. I was disappointed. Its a new store but didn't seem new. It was very hard to walk around. There were boxes and stuff that needed to be stocked everywhere! It was impossible to get by another person in the same isle. One of us would have to wait to let the other pass 1st. My daughter needed to use the bathroom. The lady that worked there was nice and fast getting the key for it. She was also very nice as well as respectful while checking out. Store is just cluttered. Its also small for a dollar General. Its ok but would prefer another location. This 1 is a million times better than new London because the workers in nl are horrible so I'd still pick this over nl but no...

You gotta love Dollar General! The prices are very hard to beat but the quality is better than any other dollar store! Not everything is a dollar though!! But still good prices all around! They have a dollar candy section and plenty of $1 items. I live about 3 miles from this one so I'm ALWAYS and I mean ALWAYS in here. But I just wanted to share my experiences with you all. Great store for quick groceries like milk, bred, eggs, etc. Great store for literally any home items like home decor or even cleaning. They even sell actual PILLOWS starting at $4! A really great store deserves 5 stars! I know all of the employees and they get their stuff done!...
