1376 PEACEFUL — Restaurant in Montville

I'm going to give an honest review here. The previous restaurant that was here wasn't really up to par in terms of quality of food ingredients, I'm willing to give this place a chance but my first time ordering reminded me much of what I've previously got in the past.

I ordered a large hot and sour soup which was pretty bland to me and my fiances taking (had to add kikkoman soysauce and duck sauce to get flavor), beef and broccoli combo that was a bit off and also the eggroll that came with it was drenched in grease.

Maybe it was just really hot this day and the heat could've affected the quality of food because I do work in a manufacturing plant, so I get that.. But if this is what I'm going to continue to get every time, I'll go to Golden Palace, Oriental Grill or China House to get...

After having ordered here three times and spending approximately $80 before tip each time, I feel comfortable enough leaving this 5 star review. Excellent staff, extremely friendly. Food is both clean and flavorful. Crab Rangoon aren't usually my thing, but they're exceptionally good here. Things to try: Steamed pork dumplings, house special lo mein, hot & spicy beef or pork, Mongolian beef, Szechuan wonton, Szechuan triple crown

People who are complaining about the staff "yelling at each other" must not understand the culture, disregard that part of their review.

The food was absolutely gross. I would even go as far as saying that any Chinese food in Norwich or New London is ten times better!
