I really do love this place. I o ly wish it was closer to me so I could be "one of the regulars" because the atmosphere is so welcoming. The only complaint I have (book wise) is that they ONLY carry Dungeons and Dragons books. Now, they can order any other rpg you may want BUT sometimes you just want an impulse buy.
I was prepared to spent upwards of 100 bucks on a single book but they didnt carry it. Unfortunately this lead me to spend my money in another store that had the book in stock because I wanted it that day.
Other than that one experience, EVERY other experience was top notch and I love how friendly...
Read moreGreat experience. You enter the bookstore through the coffee shop in front, and there's chairs and tables throughout the store. Very compelling to grab a cuppa and sit down for a bit to sample whatever book you're thinking of buying. The selection of books is pretty varied, they also sell lots of trinkets and even some yarn. It's not at all difficult to spend one or two hours browsing the selection and sitting down. It also seems the store has plenty of events they host, if you're into that. Read moreI had a very positive experience at Coffee Tree Books. I was only passing through the area, having camped about half an hour away, and was drawn to this location which also includes a cafe. I was not planning on buying any books ...my MO these days is to borrow the book first from the library, and then if I really really like and want it, I will go out and buy it ...but I was so impressed by some of their selections that I found myself adopting two new titles for my home library!
