First off I would like to state why i brought my pc in. I had done a few windows 10 updates and my wifi went off and then it started shutting off as soon as it would turn on.
After explaining this and everything, I am now at this moment from picking it up after being told all updates were installed and it was ready to go, finding out that there were more updates needed(the ones that caused problem possibly in first place) and the wifi card they replaced my realtak card with they could not even verify it was same brand or what brand it was.
They decided without asking me to take my wifi card out(thought it was bad i still would have liked to be informed) and my back exhaust fan(on top of not asking for my permission, wanted me to take it home without replacing it). Another factor was they moved my Ram around without informing me beforehand the misplacement(in their words) vs where they were supposed to be.
I had asked for the parts back, and received them(which was a star in my opinion) but the lack of communication of issues, the lack of honesty about the updates(to which when i showed up they booted it up to do some updates that were downloaded when they reinstalled windows[but not the updates i currently have downloading at this moment that are the exact same updates i had done before taking it in]), the lack of information on wifi card they replaced from their "boneyard" to even see if it was comparable to the card i had before or even same brand, and wanting to have me take home a pc without a exhaust fan on its back(though it does have a fan on video card etc that fan is still a necessary part of the pc. I am giving them a 2 star rating.
Cost was acceptable considering the problems I have mentioned, though all in all the communication and honesty of this company are major "fail" points for me. I will not be returning as per the issues i stated here.
Some of you may disagree with why i dont wanna return, but my way of doing business is i treat you as you treat me... I was lied to about the updates being completely done, wasnt told about various issues and asked what my opinion or instruction was upon finding said issues(and also tried to get me to go home with an incomplete job[taking exhaust fan out and not replacing it also that could cause overheating and many other issues], and they played slap a wifi card in and hope it works without regard to branding or such(for later updating or likewise) plus I was charged it seems for a new wifi card but it was from a "boneyard". Plus being told that the issues that they removed were all due to software issues and not hardware like I had informed them I believed it to be(and was correct upon this) and when went to hardware they decided to blame shorts and likewise instead of actual parts going bad to prevent having to replace them.
I hate stating all this, but they know as well as i do, that communication with the owner of the pc is important and also knowledge there of after fact of replaced parts is important also. Honesty and communication are very important in business transactions, and to which they had failed to provide such causing me to not return. Yes the pc is up and goin again, but was it new parts or "boneyard" like the wifi card to get it to be so? too many inconsistencies for my liking... Make your own judgement(I always give a place at least one chance to fix things before i do review or state I would go back or not). I hope this review...
Read moreFriendly, knowledgeable, diagnosed my issue and got back to me within the day. They were relatively cheap and willing to accommodate my schedule for pickup times. I had to dock a couple stars though because both my side panel clips were broken when I got it back and it will no longer close. I can tape it shut and am looking for other solutions, but I did get it back more broken than when I took it there.
Update: contacted them about repair options as requested. While they were willing to help and add solutions the person a spoke with was very abrasive. It came off as that I was trying to slander their company, which if they took time to read my review, was not the situation. I had nothing personal against this business. it was a mistake that was from timing and I would have undoubtably eventually completely broke it myself. My case would not close before I ever got to turn it on and I agreed with them that the manufacturer was at fault. I doubt the repair staff was being rough on my rig. They were very careful while I was there, and it was not closing perfectly at the time I dropped it off. I decided to fix it myself with velcro tape instead of take on the hostility I was getting and also going threw the trouble of dropping it back off. I will not be using this business again.
To recap: if nothing breaks while they have it then they seem to be a competent service. If something does break, prepare for some heated conversations, but I do believe they would have attempted to fix it as they offered. I just have chosen to look for other less toxic options...
Read moreFriendly… but….. I took my gaming pc here hoping to have my mobo fixed, as my vram slots were not working 1&2 and it was getting hung up when booting unless they were removed. I wasn’t pressed about the time, but they had my pc for three weeks and couldn’t fix the issue. I brought it home and took it apart again, and there was SO MUCH thermal paste on my cpu. Like holy hell. After I got that cleaned up, I decided to check the seating…. It took me five minutes to push a pin back in place and fix the problem myself. I can only speak from my experience, the woman working was very friendly and thoughtful. She only charged me a troubleshooting fee, which was very kind…. But I’m a little disappointed that google had more answers than professionals. I feel like they didn’t troubleshoot at all. I hate writing bad reviews, so I’ll leave this one at 3 stars and you can take it how...
