Four tickets to a matinee showing, 3 small popcorns and 4 small drinks should not cost almost 80 bucks. But I could live with it, if epic levels of dysfunction weren't reached... We were given cups for a Coke "select-a-soda" fountain at the end of the counter. The only available drinks, out of the hundreds of possible combinations, were all diet drinks. My wife and I can't have artificial sweeteners (they make us sick), so I ask at the counter about getting the syrup changed or something. No, they can't do that because the Coke people have to do it; it's in their contract. We can have Slurpees instead, if we'd like. Except the Slurpee machine has one flavor available, and it's not one I care for. My wife exercises this option, but I ask for a refund. No can do. Fine. I fill my cup with ice water. We step in the theatre and previews are playing, but there's no sound. I go back out to ask about this, and I'm told that in some theaters, the sound will start with the movie trailers, but doesn't play for the "preshow". Again, fine. Go back, sound starts with the movie, everything is good. The movie finishes, and we head over to the restrooms. The men's is fine, but my wife is so disgusted with the condition of the women's that she goes to the Mall's facility instead. My daughter reports that there was no TP, the floors and counters were dirty, there were no paper towels, and only one functional hand dryer.
Now, I can remember when this theater was top-notch, a real destination. I saw some of my favorite movies here. But I will not be coming back. I don't care if it's the only place to see something, I'll wait for the DVD or stream. I am not going to pay that kind of money to be inconvenienced. I'll take my movie dollars to Tygart in Fairmont or Cinemark...

Read moreWe pre-purchased tickets for a show at this theater. It gave us the theater and seat numbers for our showtime. There was a line for food and a line for tickets. We did want some food but decided we might miss part of the show, so we headed in. There was no one to check our tickets and we went to our theater. Our seats were occupied by another couple that claimed they were the seats assigned. Since the show was moved to a bigger theater there was plenty of empty seats, so we just sat down. Then a family came in and apparently we're not happy they didn't have their assigned seats so they had security come in. He checked for our tickets and showed the paid QR code but he said we need to go get tickets! So what was the purpose in paying for tickets ahead of you still need to get tickets when you arrive?!!. So my daughter ended up missing part of the show because of this disgruntled mother and in the end others had to move and they still didn't end up in their assigned seats! The Dad said I was in his seat but his seat was number 7 and I was in seat 11. I moved but I was really mad at the whole process. Very disappointed in the way this theater ran things. First of all it should state on your ticket that your assigned seats might not be the ones you get and you still need to get a ticket before going to your theater, meaning you still need to go through the lines. How...
