Nature Balsam Nail & Spa — Local services in Morris Plains

My nail was ripping and lifted and because I was not able to make an appointment early with my nail salon, I came here. I made sure to ask about pricing for designs and rhinestones, etc. To my surprise, they wanted to charge me 20 dollars more. Their gel fill is also 10 dollars more then I would normally pay. They did not seem very happy when I told them what I normally pay. The owner asked are you sure you don't have acrylic? Really??? I met them in the middle on price at $55. They then ignored me for the next 2 hrs sitting in the chair... 1/2 hr longer then usual. (polite only when asking me to put my hand under the light). Then to my surprise without telling me I was charged an extra 5 dollars for fixing my nail. I understand different nail salons charge different prices for their services, but I had made this clear when I walked in. I called ahead and made an appt. Early in the morning I gave them 1 stars since my nails looked 'ok' but definitely not the normal quality I get. No one said goodbye when I left. I will not be returning.

• update... it is now Wed morning. Yesterday my nails started looking dirty. I got them done Sat. Picture attached bit it is hard to see. Every finger has a black film on it. *

If I can rate this business 0 stars I would. I decided to give this place a try despite of some of their negative reviews on the customer service and believe me you don't want to go through the embarrassment they will put you through. I got my nails done which cost me $90 on Saturday, Monday afternoon I had 2 cracked nails so I called to make an appt to get them fixed. I explained to the lady that I had just gotten them done 2 days ago and asked if I had to pay anything to fix them since they were just recently done. I was told no but before she said no I can hear her in the back asking someone. I said good and proceeded to make my appt for the following day but my nail tech wasn't going to be there so fine we made the appt for Thursday. After she fixed my 2 nails I started to walk away and was rudely stopped saying I had to pay by the manager. I calmly explained to her that I had just gotten them done and cracked after 2 days and that I also called and was told I did not have to pay. She insisted I payed for the nail techs time because she was loosing money. She had 0 remorse that I also had to take time to come in. She ended up charging me $10 and was extremely rude! This place doesn't care about their customers. I would not recommend this...

I discovered this Nail Spa b/c I was having lunch in the area later in the day. I live out of state. I made my decision based on other reviews and I am very glad I did so.

I made a reservation for 2 people for pedicures at 10:00 am. It could not have been easier! I arrived a few minutes late as I made a couple wrong turns, but was greeted warmly upon my arrive and we were escorted to the pedicure chairs without any issue.

The services were OUTSTANDING. My technician was one of the best I've ever had. The spa chairs were also top notch and I found myself fighting sleep during my service. (I lost the battle.) Such a relaxing experience...

At the conclusion of my pedicure we realized we had some time, so I also chose to get a manicure. Also AMAZING!!!

Everyone was so nice and welcoming. The spa was exceptionally clean. The safety measures in place made me feel very comfortable. There were numerous barriers hung that gave you a true sense that this establishment cared about their guests' and their team's health.

I look forward to visiting this place on my next visit to NJ. I would definitely recommend to anyone that indulges in pedicures and manicures as part of their...
