Scoop Station — Restaurant in Morris Plains

I’ve always loved Scoop Station—until tonight. I brought my mom, excited to share a place I’ve enjoyed . We walked in at 9:08 PM the girl behind the counter immediately said, “Sorry, we’re closed,” even though there were about five other customers still in line.

When I asked why we couldn’t just get ice cream, she told us she was trying to finish up and that we could grab something pre-made from the freezer, but she wouldn’t scoop anything for us. Honestly, it felt rude and dismissive. If the store was closed, the door should have been locked. Everyone in there seemed surprised by her refusal to serve us.

This experience left a really bad taste. Sadly, I won’t be coming back, and I’ll be sure to let others know about the poor...

My family absolutely LOVES Scoop Station!! They are one of the best additions to our little community. We were there this past Wednesday night after the local school concert and there must have been 75 people in and around scoop station. I do not think that the staff had a heads up regarding the influx they would be hit with that night. The staff took each order with care and professionalism and they did their absolute best to get everyone served as soon as possible. My wife, 3 kids and I have scoured Morris county like Amerigo Vespucci, searching for the perfect chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream only to be disappointed again and again. Sure there were mediocre options but nothing truly hit the spot....until we came here. After the first spoonful, we stared at each other in amazement. Cherubs danced merrily along the side walk and unicorns floated over head. What an experience! We have gone back to get pints of it and can't get enough to the point we have gained a healthy 75 lbs each but it's well worth it! The service is excellent also. Thank you Scoop...
