Chocolatine — Restaurant in Morris Plains

Pastries and service is good. The denville location has more options so hopefully in time they will expand menu in the morris plains location. Only thing is that the atmosphere is a bit disappointing. It lacks coziness that’s a bit discouraging to sit and enjoy their pastry. However the most bothersome is the smell. There is this unpleasant smell ( almost like a wet dog smell) that I am having a hard time identifying. Not sure if it’s the ventilation or what but i hope the owner can improve the atmosphere and smell of the place.

My family and I visited Chocolatine during its soft opening, and are thrilled this delicious French pastry shop opened right in town. Had the savory spinach and feta pastry not one but two days in a row as well as the chocolate croissants. There are decadent, beautiful petite cakes and tartlets that taste as absolutely delicious as they look - we tried three varieties, the apple, lemon meringue, and vanilla bourbon. The staff is genuine and welcoming and the shop itself has a warm and inviting ambience, not to mention also serves just the right amount of coffee drinks. Cannot...

I finally took the late train into NY and had the pleasure of stopping in for a croissant and coffee. This wonderful little shop has some of the most delicate looking and delicious tasting patisseries Ive ever had. Some of their creations are literal works of art. The photos I took dont do justice to the sophistication and attention to detail displayed by the bakers.
