There's no parking available. You have to find a spot on the road and walk up. When you approach, they welcome you. Didn't ask for any identification or anything they just handed me a bag. . In the bag was chicken with onions peppers and rice. Rice was not cooked though. I bit into rice thinking it was and almost broke a tooth I ate what I could. Out of the hand cooked meal. They also gave a milk pouch with a packet of oatmeal and a kids container of cereal I ate everything given in 15 mins.. my dog ate some applesauce and chicken that didnt have onions/peppers on it. She helped him tremendously & wholeheartedly for about 4 months including weekends in order to avoid homelessness by applying for different programs he might qualify for. She worked closely with a wonderful case worker at OTA and they both found a perfect fit for him at a temporary housing for veterans whose goal is to help vets find a place of their own. Read moreI volunteered with this organization a week ago, and it is such a well-put-together volunteer opportunity. when we arrived we were asked to help sort tablecloths, aprons, clothing food pantry items, etc... later on when the volunteers that were in the kitchen were ready to serve we switched gears and begin serving lunch. We were asked two then hope people with second servings and then we cleaned up. a few days a week they also run a farmer's market where people can get nutritious food that they would not otherwise have access to.
