Piggly Wiggly is a grocery store chain that has been around for over 100 years. It was founded in Memphis, Tennessee in 1916 by Clarence Saunders, who is credited with inventing the self-service grocery store. Today, Piggly Wiggly has over 500 stores in 18 states, and it is known for its fresh produce, meat, and seafood, as well as its wide variety of products at competitive prices.
One of the things that I like best about Piggly Wiggly is that it is always clean and well-organized. The aisles are wide and easy to navigate, and the shelves are always stocked with fresh produce and other groceries. I also appreciate the fact that Piggly Wiggly has a wide variety of products to choose from, including both national brands and store brands. This means that I can always find the products that I need at a price that I can afford.
Another thing that I like about Piggly Wiggly is that it has a friendly and helpful staff. The employees are always willing to help me find what I am looking for, and they are always happy to answer any questions that I have. I also appreciate the fact that Piggly Wiggly offers a variety of convenient services, such as online ordering and curbside pickup.
Overall, I am very happy with Piggly Wiggly. It is a clean, well-organized grocery store with a wide variety of products at competitive prices. I would definitely recommend Piggly Wiggly to anyone looking for a great place to shop for groceries.

Read moreThe grocery store is fine. The hot bar started out great and has been on a downhill spiral ever since. I can't see it staying open long if the food is as bad as what I had today.
The cream of mushroom chicken had to be leftover baked chicken from before and they tried to give it new life by recooking it in cream of mushroom soup. TERRIBLE! I don't know how you bake chicken in mushroom soup and it comes out that terribly dried out if it wasn't reheated or something from a different day. It had a quarter inch thick brownish looking, almost crunchy layer of meat on the breast I had.
I really should have taken it back in but I was on a time crunch and ate as much as I could of it.
Take my word for it... The hot bar is BAD! If I do try the deli again, it will be salads only from now on. Not sure if they handle that well either though. I have had it a few times when I didn't see anything I wanted on the hot bar... Should have went that route today.
There was "fried okra" on the bar. All the fried okra I've ever seen was breaded in like a corn meal breading... This stuff looked like straight boiled okra with no breading. Slimey looking green goop with seeds. NASTY! The lady saw me check the okra with a spoon and asked me if I was sure I didn't want any... I said nah. She laughed.
Terrible. She knows that mess wasn't good. Total waste of okra to try serving it that way. Who fries okra with no breading?! YUCK!
If I were the manager, I'd fire the cooks straight away... unless of course the manager is making them recook yesterday's and the day before's chicken so many times that baked chicken is crunchy, which could well be the case. If so, and I'm the manager, I'd fire myself!
Definitely looking into how to report this to some corporate entity for Piggly...
Read moreI love this store ! The prices are GREAT, the people are AWESOME, and it just seems to get better, each time I visit. I shopped there today. I use one of their scooters, as I am unable to do alot of walking. Today, I was just finishing up my shopping, and heading toward the checkout with my scooter basket filled to the hilt with my groceries for the month, when the scooter battery died ! At that moment, the store manager happened to walk by. He saw that I was having trouble, and stopped to assist me. Not only did he not just walk by me, as he could have. He actually grabbed the back of the scooter, and pushed me, on the scooter, into a checkout line, got me some help unloading the scooter basket, and even asked me if there was anything else that I needed before he left me in the very capable hands of the two Customer Service Representatives who checked my groceries out, and bagged them for me . He did not have to stop and personally help me. He could have easily just had an employee help me, and went about his business. Instead, he took the time to help me, himself. THAT'S CUSTOMER SERVICE ! I checked out with enough groceries for the month for three people, including great meat buys (t-bone steaks, a whole boneless pork loin , a ham, and boneless skinless chicken breast), side items, breakfast and lunch items, miscellaneous other items like foil, and trash bags, and snacks, for all of us for $149 ! What a...
