I flew in to Maryland, from Las Vegas (Nevada), to visit a family member who resides in Mt Airy. During the several days I was there, my wife wanted to visit the historical parts of Mt Airy because she's into all that stuff. Initially, we just wanted to see that B&O train on display, read the signs, walk around a little, and then depart; however, our curiosity found ourselves walking into various stores to look around and eventually stopped at this store on 9 Feb 2024.
First and foremost, we love supporting small businesses where we can and although we didn't purchase a lot of things because we were traveling, my wife did manage to purchase one little item to help remember the visit. With today's society moving more towards E-commerce, it's often difficult for Brick and Mortar businesses to sustain or even compete with some of those E-commerce businesses. However, I feel that these little shops are still needed everywhere because they bring that personal feel and charm to consumers - something that is lacking these days.
There were a few things in this store that made me reminisce of our travel trailer we once owned, but recently sold. It was great to go past memory lane, but unfortunately, we couldn't purchase any of those items. There were so many different gifts, home décor, and memorabilia in this store which was overwhelming to take in for such a small time we had. Again, it was lamentable that we couldn't purchase more items to take back home with us, but if we're ever in the area again, we'll be sure to plan ahead.
This building seems to have two different businesses under one roof; one for printing, and another is this gift shop. So if you're conducting a Google search and both businesses come up, then understand that they're basically the same building. Based on the names of the businesses, I'm pretty certain that both are owned by the same individual(s). That being said, if you happen to be in the area or planning on passing through this historical town, or even passing by this town off of I-70, then I urge you to take a pit stop and visit this store. The folks working here are very friendly in which I am confident that they'd assist you in finding exactly what you need/want. The store was actually bigger than I thought so when you walk in, don't just assume that the one room is all they have - they have ~5 more rooms of items.
Thank you, S&K Gifts for the hospitality and I wish you all continued success! I highly recommend this store...

What a wonderful discovery I made on my way to another shop on Main Street in Mount Airy on Saturday. I hadn't been shopping downtown in a while and even less due to the pandemic and had know idea this gift shop existed. You enter into a cozy, quaint and well appointed shop with beautiful high quality, affordable gifts for everyone on your list and for all occasions. Sudah the owner is wonderful, greeting everyone warmly with a smile, inviting you to look around. There are several rooms with different themes, there's even a Christmas room! There are items from the fair-trade market, products made in the USA and Mount Airy souvenirs. Stop in! You won't be...
