Walker’s on Main — Restaurant in Mount Airy

I stopped by Walkers on Main the other day and was blown away. It’s this cozy little food truck spot connected to a bar — the kind of small-town gem that immediately feels welcoming. The atmosphere was relaxed but lively, with great energy and friendly faces all around.

I ordered the Honey Fried Chicken Sandwich, cleverly named the Cluck Norris, and wow — it lived up to the name. Crispy, juicy chicken with just the right balance of sweetness and spice, tucked perfectly in a soft bun. Easily one of the best sandwiches I’ve had in a long time.

But what really made the visit stand out was the service. Conor, the waiter who took my order, was exceptional — genuinely friendly, attentive, and polite without being overbearing. He made sure everything was right and created such a positive vibe that it elevated the whole experience. You can tell he really cares about giving great service.

I drove 3 hours (from Northern Neck Virginia) to eat here and was not disappointed! When I first arrived and realized it was in a shopping center I was not expecting much but, I was beyond surprised when I walked inside. The decor and ambiance is intimate yet industrial. The staff is welcoming and friendly. When my food arrived, I was truly impressed. Lovely addition to Liquidty and downtown Mount Airy! You can order at the counter or via QR code at the table and they bring it out to you. Everything is in disposable/recyclable containers which was great for the outdoor atmosphere and taking leftovers home.

We tried the pizza tots, Big Mac walking taco, hot shot pizza, and the Cuban. Every single thing was delicious! Photos would be helpful on the online menu to understand some of the menu items that are more unique.
