I ordered from Enzo's at 5:45, was supposed to be delivered by 6:45. At 7:10 I call to ask about my order, and get told "hold on, I have to check". I get passed along to person number two, who says "hold on, I have to check". She comes back and says no one came to get the pizza and they are waiting for someone to get it. So I ask if it's been done long, will it be cold? She says "umm, i don't know. Want the manager"? So manager comes to the phone, I ask about my order, she says "yeah, soooo... when you place an order online it goes to a door dash driver and no one is here to get it. soooo..." Then I ask "so it will probably be cold when we finally get it, then"? Unbelievably enough, she replies with "I mean, I don't know. It's been made and sat there. I can't control if someone doesn't come pick it up". I ask how long it was made and ready, she says 30 minutes. I ask if she can just cancel it and she says I have to do it online through the app. I say "okay, do you know how long that will take", and in the snarkiest tone says "yeeeaaaahhh, 3 business days". My partner was next to me and heard how she was talking to me so unfortunately, we will not be having Enzo's again. Yes, I understand there may be issues when using a system like Door dash and some things are out of their control. I get that. But... No apologies No understanding No willingness to please the paying customer. And YOU are going to get mad at ME for asking about my order? Bring Milano's BACK! I have sent so much business to Enzo's, and I will no longer be sending people to them. I will also be reaching out to the owner, and explaining my experience with their undertrained manager and staff, since I clearly cannot do so with the...
Read moreRecently, I was hanging out with my close personal friend Dave Portnoy, over some ice cold beers on a rainy day in New York City, we started discussing the great state of Michigan. I said, 'Dave, you know, Michigan is great, but it's hard to get a quality slice.' He gave me a chuckle, the way someone 'in the know' would chuckle at such a statement. He said, 'Rig, I'm going to let you in on a little secret, there is this pizza maker in Flushing by the name of Chef Yard. It's easily a Michigan 10 slice, you can't find a better slice, especially in Michigan.'
I didn't believe it, here I am, talking to the AUTHORITY of pizza, and he's telling me Chef Yard is the number one pizza cook in Michigan? I guess we'd find out once I get back to my home state.
Today, my life changed, I experienced the perfection of Chef Yard first hand. It's crispy in all the right places, it's savory, PERFECT. I'm no Dave Portnoy, but I can assure you that this pizza that came with a high recommendation from Mr. Pizza himself, did not disappoint.
I wanted it to be great, and it is great. Thanks Chef Yard for working that...
Read moreTried Enzos for the first time New Years Eve. Our wait was 40 min, got there and the kid at the desk apologized that they messed up my order, but made it right with free bread sticks and 2 litre of pop. All good, our pizza was the Philly cheese steak was delicious !!! However while waiting outside for an extra 10 minutes we noticed the guy making pizza not wearing gloves, touching his hair and nose. Popping food into his mouth. I asked to privately speak to the manager as to not make a big deal. The manager came out and it was the very man making the pizza. So I spoke to him regarding what we saw, he seemed not concerned at all. Very alarming to see someone preparing the food we ordered in an unsafe manner. Not to mention when I got back in our car he went right back preparing pizza un gloved. Wonder what the health department will think about...
