This is a cute store and everything seems good enough, but the PO is the most horrible customer service I have ever encountered. I came in to pick up a pipe I had cut for a client out of town and thought how convenient it was to be able to just pop it in the mail to them in the same store. I was in with my two-year-old who was acting like a two-year-old and I was trying to keep her in check while also selecting the right size box. As I struggled to find the right box, Marie and another older brunette women just sat there looking at me- two of them- with zero offer of assistance. And then Marie has the nerve to ask me to move my small pipe off the counter so ONE of them could assist another customer. I’m sorry Marie, please DO NOT trouble yourself to lift a SINGLE FINGER to help me move a FOUR inch piece of pipe from the counter. And then when I selected a box, placed the pipe in it, and looked on my phone to confirm the address while also trying to keep my daughter away from something she wanted to pull off the shelf, the other brunette woman said “you’re going to have to tape that” talking about the box. I would say how miserably horrendous these women are but I don’t even think I need to. Needless to say, do not ever waste your time thinking either Marie or the other woman at the PO will be helpful or even the slightest bit friendly. I would think that women with that much age on them would remember what it’s like trying to accomplish things with a small child in tow, but it is obvious they could not be bothered...

I wanted to love this place. I like doing business with smaller, independently owned businesses. I've been there a few times and on my most recent visit I purchased 4 mums. I got 2 yellow and 2 burgundy. I put one yellow and one burgundy in the front of my house and did the same in the back of my house with a yellow and burgundy. The yellow ones did well and the burgundy ones did not. I even transplanted the burgundy ones into another container to try and help them. I've been buying mums for 40 years and have never had to transplant them before. After two weeks of working with these flowers I went to the store with pictures of my thriving beautiful yellow mums and pictures of my mostly dead burgundy mums. I wanted to try and figure out what happened with them and hoped they would offer to replace, refund or give me store credit. None of that happened. A woman that works in the garden area came to speak with me. I tried to explain the situation, but she didn't want to hear any of it. She asked me no questions. When I tried to show her some of the photos she indicated that it was my fault. I never got to show her the yellow mums. After talking with me for a little over a minute she abruptly turned and walked away from me. I stood there stunned. The worst part of this was the way I was disrespectfully treated. Went to pick up a few regular things i needed plus hurricane supplies.as usual they were well stocked.the customer service there is beyond compare.as at there other family store RoyalAce Hatdware.not only do they great you but there is always someone knowledgeable willing to help. I usually have a list ..they take a look at it and immediately start gathering. what i need and answer any questions i have. Not like some stores where sales associates are no where in sight and you have to wonder up and down isles and try and reach things 4 feet abouve your head.or wait in line at customer service so they can page someone to climb a ladder and get it or help you .then wait 10-15minutes for them to show up.. The service here from the time they great you to check out .to taking you purchases to your car and helping you load .is courteous , knowledgeable ,effecient , and yes the old fashioned kind ive really missed in a lot of the other stores . Oh yes there gardening areas are well stocked esp at royal ace .and the people knowledgeable. . I love to shop here and i think...
