The Hidden Lair — Local services in Mount Zion

I used to go here to play Yugioh about 8 years ago, and I had heard a lot of people having issues with the previous owner. I heard they had some new owners. The Hidden Lair posted they were hiring on Facebook on Oct. 16th, so I went in for an interview. It said they were hiring full-time hours and the positions were for clerks, warehouse, and data processing. I was told I would get a call back the next day, no call. I waited a few days, and no call. I called the store about a week after and asked if follow-up calls after the interviews were being made by the owners, and no response. I didnt't expect one, because the employees working there might not know. I eventually get a call from their number on a day that I normally don't work, and couldn't answer the phone. I call back that night asking if I could get a call back after the weekend, and make sure they have my email, as well (never getting to the owners, and talking to an employee once again). Another 3 or 4 days pass by, and I give a call to ask about follow-up, and they tell me to call back on another day between certain hours. I call back today, after waiting two weeks with absolutely no more information on whether they decided to hire me only to be told that there is nothing available in the store, and the only other position is part time at 20 hours a week. As if it's not been a hard enough time in today's job market to find something maybe worth your time, that's not just some corporate store... This whole experience was just absolutely disappointing....

A must for hobbiests in central Illinois. A wide range of paints, brushes, tools, and more for minis. The largest selection I have ever seen in a physical store hands down. Want warhammer? They have SO MUCH warhammer.

My one complaint: The age of sigmar/musc GW room is a bit cramped, and the smaller unit boxes can be hard to look through. I would love to see them organized and in a space where 2 people can be back to back.

This is a fantastic store! Great place for the community and for families to get together and play. The owners are very kind and have created such a relaxing and friendly environment. The store is recently under new management and the improvements that have been made are headed in the right direction. The staff is very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. This place has almost any game you can think of...all you have to do is ask. Also, the space is superb for kids birthday...
