The Stream Theater — Local services in Mountain View

The theater was clean, and movie started on time. Bad thing is we got there 20 minutes before it was supposed to start, and waited in line so long that the previews were almost over. The other movie had already started (you could hear it), and the people ahead of us were coming for that one. There were a couple of young people working counter. They were selling tickets and concessions at same time, which held up line. I am glad I prepaid for our tickets. We wanted popcorn and a soda but chose to do without as to not hold up the line for the others. May I suggest in the future you have one doing tickets, and the other doing concessions on the other side of the counter. That way the line moves smoother, and people can get in and seated before movie starts. Just a thought. There was a woman with small children waiting on line to see Paw Patrol, which had already started, and it was cool outside. Too cool for smaller kids to have to wait in line while people get popcorn. There has to be a better...

Our first visit to the Stream. Line was out the door because people wanted to chat at the ticket counter and took their time picking seats. What is up with assigned seating? Is this Kindergarten?? And then on top of this, when we got to the counter the computer went down and had to be re-booted. Please do away with assigned seats! Even though the seats were comfy, many of them squeaked, which is annoying during the movie. Management needs to come in and give a good shot of WD-40 to the springs in the seats. The theater is nicer than I expected with large comfortable seats and spacious aisles. What I didn’t like was having to select your seats. Older people were having a hard time finding their seats in the dark while there was plenty of open seating. This was distracting to those of us who arrived early. Also paying for tickets and buying snacks at the same time. The line was out the door while slow people ordered and waited for popcorn and drinks. Seemed unorganized.
