Let me start by saying that our waitress was absolutely amazing and was over a 5 star rating! I have some food allergies, and she spent time running back and forth between our table and the kitchen to help figure out what I could safely eat. I settled on what they called a Hawaiian Steak meal, breaded and fried yellow squash, loaded baked potatoe, and roll. The roll was good, and the baked potatoe was fine. The yellow squash was good other than several were clumps of 3-4 slices cooked together, making them very watery and cold in the middle. Now to the Hawaiian steak part. I asked for it to be cooked MEDIUM RARE and absolutely no pepper of any kind (major food allergy). The first one brought out had a pepper chunk in the Hawaiian mix part and the steak was a breakfast steak size T-bone which had a chunk that was so under cooked it was raw and cold and didn't even get seared. The second try, the Hawaiian mix was fine, but the steak had the same area raw again, but the rest was so over cooked that it was no pink to it and was completely dry. The manager came over and said that was just the way those steaks ended up being cooked, so I asked if there was anything else I could get in place of the steak part. I was told that they could give me Skinless boneless chicken breast that is already cut into stips. I said fine, and what I was brought was more like minced chicken than strips (see picture). My husband got their Beef Tri Tips that he was told was so good and it turn out to be more of a glorified pepper steak with mushrooms that was only so so in flaver and they used meat cut like was meant to be on a Philly cheese steak sandwich. The manager then brought our check and told us that she talked to the owner, who said to charger me full price for the steak meal because I just substituted the chicken for the steak. Now we had a big problem with that because I never even got to eat 1 bite of the steak and chicken is cheaper even on their menu than steak. The manager then came back saying the owner said fine to charge me the price of a chicken and shrimp meal (a whole chicken breast with bacon wrapped shrimp) which was only $4 less than the steak meal. I said no, they could just keep their minced chicken and Hawaiian mix, which I had not even had time to eat but a bite or 2 to taste it. We ended up paying for my husband's meal along with my loaded baked potatoe, yellow squash, and roll. Due to their cook's inability to cook properly and the owner's attitude about all of it, we will never eat there again, and will never recommend...

Food: I've never gotten anything there that wasn't great. My mother n law said this very thing to us & she lives in that town & has eaten there many times. My husband always gets the burger there when we're in town for a visit, because he says they are great burgers. I don't get anything W/onions, but both of them yesterday, did have to pick off(the burger) & out of(the salad)onions, so I think the cook/food preparer, in the kitchen yesterday, got a little onion happy, but easily remedied, but they could save themselves some onions. Fried squash, mashed potatoes & 4 oz perfectly seasoned grilled chicken breast W/a roll is what I ordered. It's hard to find places W/lite menus for ppl who can't eat alot. I noticed they have a small portion pork chop dinner & I think the other was fish?, can't be certain, dinner, so thats good. Suggestions: They should just put those, & any other smaller portion dinners or items i may not have seen, on a seperate menu & list as lite menu, so its easier for ppl like me to find. I usually end up getting salad items when I go to a place that serves really big portions, if can't order off the kids menu, so it was good to have the 4 oz instead of 8 oz, chicken option. Service: Servers have always been courteous, patient & friendly. Price: Reasonable. Its usually only in $10-20 range, if you get a drink other than water, which I usually do, or mine would have been just under $10, b4 taxes $8.75, as would have been my mom n laws @ 9.something, chicken fried chicken dinner. My husband's was, $8.75, because he got water W/his Burger & fries. He loves their, straight, medium cut,...
Read moreSo I can't speak for the food or the atmosphere but uhh I can speak for service.... My husband has really wanted to try this place since it came to town so on Friday January 17 I attempted to put in a to go order because we were going thru town I called the first time at 5:56 let the phone ring for 4 min with no answer, called the 2nd time at 6:01 let it ring 2 min with no answer, called the 3rd time at 6:05 on the 2nd ring an answer so I got excited well it was all for not. In the 1 minute I was on the phone with the establishment no one ever spoke to me it sounded like the phone call was just accepted then sat on the counter no one ever spoke to me but I could hear everything in the background after saying hello is anyone there repeatedly for the minute I was on the phone I hung up gave it a few min and tried to call back just to get a recording that says "they couldn't accept my call because they are busy" I tried to call an additional 7 times over the next 30 min just to get the same recording! No matter how bad my husband wants to eat here I will not patronize a place that refused to even attempt to get my business the first time I tried. I would suggest just going to the rainbow cafe in town the food and service was amazing that night!
