Update 2: RS Hollinger pushed the issue with Kioti. They were able to get them to cover a decent portion. Hollinger themselves picked up part so we were left with probably 25% of the bill. Still not ideal but Hollinger did go to bat for us and helped out on the bill themselves. I appreciate their help.
Update: RS Hollinger is currently trying to get Kioti to stand behind the tractor. The dealership really seems to be trying to assist us. Hopefully Kioti gets on board.
Orginal: I am the facility Supervisor for a Christian Camp. 3 1/2 years ago our long serving Kubota died and we looked for a replacement. After a long search we settled on a Kioti 45 hp tractor. We now have two drive train issues that Kioti won’t make good on. The tractor only has a little over 300 hrs on it. We also bought two UTVs and all our implements from this company. The lack of standing behind the product is truly disappointing. I wouldn’t have expected to have multiple drive train issues this soon into owning a Kioti and I certainly would have expected better from them. Their reasoning for not standing behind their product is since we are a Christian Camp were a “commercial” account. So they don’t honor their 5 year warranty. A landscaper or excavator would put more than 330 hrs on in 3 1/2 years. Most home owners would too. We aren’t abusing this tractor. Buy from a more trusted brand/dealer that will stand behind...
Read moreTook way longer than promised. I have a lawn business so time is a factor with repairs. Called them up, I was told three days. I thought, ok, I can work with that. After five days I started calling every other day. After a week and a half, they said they would get to it. A little over two weeks later, they call and say the mower is ready. Picked it up. Went to use it, still not running right, same problem. Took it back over, I was told two days. Started calling again after four. Called on day seven and I was told they can’t find the problem. I went picked it up and took it to a different shop. They called me three hours later and said the mower was fixed, it was a bad coil. The mower has run fine since. What really bothered me was when I asked why it took so long, I was told, they got a lot of traffic in and couldn’t get to it. So I guess I wasn’t important enough despite being there first. They did get the tire I wanted put on and stopped the pto belt from burning. The only problem is now the spring keeps dropping out from the tensioner for that belt. So needless to say, not happy at all with...
Read moreMy dad went here in the late 80s through the 90s for his scag equipment, back in the Scag STHM three-wheel mower days. My dad always recommended and spoke highly of Hollinger's ability to help him out when in a pinch and figure out issues with equipment.
Since then I have seen what my dad was saying is true. Ive been fortunate enough to have access to quality products, technicians, parts, and people.
I recently bought a scag cheetah. Tom was my salesman. Tom is always an awesome person to work with, he treated me fair and worked with me while I figured out what piece of equipment suited my needs.
Let’s talk about cutting some grass now. I couldn't be more thrilled with my Scag Cheetah purchase. Operating a scag cheetah is like riding a horse, you have to pull back on the reins to get it to slow down. I went with a high horsepower engine and let me tell you, cut speeds are insane, cut quality is outstanding, and it will be a beast this fall when bagging leaves.
Thank you and keep the good...
