We've been having issues for the past two months with the mail carriers putting our mail in our neighbor's mailbox repeatedly, even after reporting everything to the Postmaster General. We were told it would no longer be an issue, yet my mailbox still isn't being used for my own mail. It remains empty while they put it into my neighbor's box-which is directly next to ours and clearly labeled with last names and addresses to avoid confusion. The mail carrier went as far as tying my mailbox shut with a rubber band and telling us they would no longer use our box because our address was incorrect in their system (it was not incorrect-which the Postmaster General verified and stated that Mountville Post Office has been having issues.)
We also had mail returned back to the sender with the post office stamping the mail as "Undeliverable", but then when I asked them why they returned it, the Mountville Post Office denied that it happened at all. It's beyond frustrating feeling like no one cares about resolving this simple issue or getting our mail to us properly. I have never had issues with our mail in the four years we have lived here, but now that I've reported it in hopes of it being solved, it seems to have just gotten worse-which is super...
Read moreThe carrier was delivering all of our packages to the wrong apartment, and refused to read the apartment letters, when calling the office to hopefully get this easily fixed with the post master Sherry, she told me and i quote, "It's saturday and im working for free, we just will hold all of your orders from now on and not deliver at all". I think the acts of her are atrocious and are not in line with USPS's policies and procedures. Please fire this woman so we can get a post master who deserves the position and actually wants to be employed there rather then just collect a check. Months later and the carrier still never knocks or rings the doorbell when signatures are required, and just leaves the note to pick up the order at the post office. Worst post office ever. The only one who is a good employee is the younger female who has worked there for years, she is always kind and courteous, you should promote someone like her who actually treats people with respect. The post master should be on the unemployment line. Update: This week the postal carrier actually drove past our building as we were waiting for a delivery and then hours later we received a message saying the building was unable to be accessed. Can we...
Read moreI rely on the Mountville Post office for my overseas mailings/ customs paperwork, stamp purchasing and general mail delivery. Our home delivery postman offers prompt, accurate and very friendly service. The ladies at the counter in our little town’s postoffice are efficient, knowledgeable and very kind, warm and friendly. I rarely have to wait in a long line and have never had delivery issues and I use USPS regularly. I am grateful I do not have to go to the main office on Harrisburg Pike and fight the lines. I like the personal relationships I am able to build with the staff here in Mountville. I highly recommend this...
