First of all I want to say these guys that I dealt with were all super nice and the service I got was same day. They completed a radio change out for me in hours from the time I called so that is major. The prices are a little high but nothing crazy. These guys have to make money or they couldn’t be in business. I understand material markup and labor l, I’m an electrical contractor by trade so I get it. We do the same thing. These guys are pros. You drop your ride off with them and they do the work saving you from the time and headache yourself. I paid about 500 something for a JVC MW590BT, a steering wheel control module and labor to install it all. After I picked it up and drove off I noticed my radio wasn’t picking up stations very well. It was tuned to 107.3 when I started it up so I think they were aware of this also. They didn’t tell me when I got it though. Didn’t think much of it at the time. A day goes by I’m still not getting any stations on my tuner. I checked to make sure my truck antenna was screwed in and all the basic stuff, it was fine. Well today I decided to check the stereo unit itself and see if maybe the antenna wire was just loose or something. I pulled the unit out and they had some kind of in-dash antenna plugged in that was just a single wire shoved up in my dashboard, the truck’s actual antenna wasn’t hooked up at all. The antenna wire was down in there kind of hard to find, I had to drop the glove box to trace it out and find it myself. These guys didn’t even hook it back up. They did put in this other antenna I mentioned earlier so at least they tried. The connections to the old wiring harness were made with crimp-on wire nuts, that all looked fine. The cable management was a little bit iffy but it all worked beside the antenna. I’m not sure exactly what this device they had hooked up was doing and maybe I’m showing my own ignorance there, but when I plugged in the trucks original antenna wire into the adapter they had installed everything worked like it should. Now I’m not one to sit here and pick apart another man’s work like this generally but I feel for the price I paid, a little bit better craftsmanship should’ve been rendered.
Anyway, that was my experience with Car...
Read moreSo to be honest at first I was skeptical but I decided to give them a chance and see what they could do. I went in looking for a radio with a built in crossover and back up camera capabilities. Luckily they had just got a shipment in and got me one. And they got me in the shop on the next day. The previous place I used to go to usually was booked a month out. So while there they ran into a few minor issues but they made sure to get it all right with the stereo. While talking to them I decided to upgrade my sub from a 12" pioneer to 2x 10" sundown audio. The owner promised me it would be a huge upgrade even using the same amp. I admit I was skeptical but I gave it a shot. After a few hiccups with the hookup and they having to take the vehicle back in to double check all the wiring (which may have been the previous shops fault) they got it playing right and I was impressed. They know their stuff and make sure you are happy when you leave. They are quick and helpful. Give them a shot at your audio needs. I know...
Read moreWe had been having issues with our Tahoe head unit, and speakers for a couple years and decided to have it all fixed before a family trip, so we called around and I have to say, it’s clear Justin cares about this industry, and having a good reputation. He installed a head unit, and was still unable to get a few things to work together because of the way the factory wiring is in those models. He stayed at the shop late attempting to fix everything, and then installed a gently used upgraded DVD system so that everything would work properly, at little extra cost. I was very up front with what our budget would be, and Justin was extremely helpful in working with me on that. I’m very happy with the work, and my wife is happy that everything works right in her car. Justin and his team spent extra time trying to research and diagnose our problem, and then worked hard to give a solution that we would be happy with. Whenever I get ready to upgrade the system in my truck, there’s nowhere else I...
