My child and mother were both in the ICU on my court date, my main focus was on them and I mistakenly forgot to pay or call, when I called three different times no one answered and when I finally got someone who answered she was rude and disrespectful, I asked to be put back on the docket to see the judge she told me I’d have to pay over 600 dollars until I could have that happen and then pay the ticket being a single mom I told her that was not possible for me that I could pay my speeding ticket which was only 5 over but was going to cost me 200+ dollars she told me that it’s not her problem I should of called and I can not speak to anyone else. They have no care for personal issues. Should I have called yes but I have a child and mother in the icu in two different states it was not something that had crossed my mind at that moment. I tried to call and take care of it but I simply can not afford everything they want me to pay and instead of providing help they made me seem like I was just another poor single mother which isn’t the case I just needed a helping hand. I truly pray for the people struggling in this economy right now and would advise you to stay clear of this town because this town seems to disregard anyone struggling and needing a helping hand, money hungry is...
Read moreBy far the worst municipal court system ever. I was in mustang to purchase a veh and as I was leaving I received a speeding ticket. Keep in mind I’ve never been here so didnt realize I was speeding leaving town. I understand I was speeding and more than okay paying a ticket. My problem is I called to see if I could get some kind of deferment of some sort. The rude clerk tells me I need to be at my court date. I let her know I’m 4 hours away and if there’s a way I could do it over the phone or in writing. She bluntly tells me no and show up on my court date or pay the ticket over the phone because there’s nothing they will do. Avoid this city and ridiculous...
Read moreMustang has a ridiculously unfair municipal court system. Avoid the town if possible. I don't think the officer knew this when he wrote me a ticket for an illegal u-turn the day before my flight back to Washington. He advised me to call the court clerk to see if I could see a judge before flying out. The court clerk will not help you. The court will not let you submit a plea in writing or over the phone. They want you to be there in person on the date specified. The best part about all of this is that I didn't even know u-turns were illegal here. It wasn't in my "Welcome to Oklahoma" guidebook. The u-turn that I made is entirely...
