Finally, third attempt to fill out passport documents in person; after going to Federal office and being told I just needed to go to the Post Office. I should have checked this online but what I checked online dealt with issue of lost passport almost 24 years old that may be just misplaced. One PO closed the Passport line at 2:20 or 2:25. My local PO is not on the list of qualified or set apart for this service. My local PO let me know very fast how they could not serve me. Which this attitude is no surprise. My local PO has never gone out of their way to be a real great customer service oriented place...as was the PO that put out the sign closing Passport service at 2:20! The time stated for this is 9am to 3pm! However, Mustang US POST Office was great service. I was there at 2pm to start the procedure. I hadto get 2 ( 1 for me and special needs adult son). I got back in line and one employee was not trained so we had to wait. We were back in line by 2:40. And, we were next by 2:45. The employee that could process passports helped a couple of people first. I understand. The lines get long about this time of day. But, she put us back in line and processed us. She did say it was after 3. However, she was fast and efficient in her job. She took the next person * ( pretty much even though we were there before some others....I get you have to keep a line going fast ..getting a few easy things done) This employee knows how to do her job...knows how to take care of people in order and when to make minor exceptions. Even though busy she managed a small smile. This is way more than I usually get at my local PO and mega above the service stopping the Passport service line at 2:20pm This Post Office is 5 minutes farther than my local one( maybe ten) but it will be worth it to get people that will help, not having to deal with people that seem to jump for joy they do not have to serve you and to get to do business with people that smile even a small smile when swamped...the other person not trained on passports yet had a huge grin on his face. This is a post office that deserves 5* and...
Read moreI came in as a walk-in today to certify my child’s expedited passport. Gentleman at the front stated that he didn’t know how to process our paperwork as it is through FedEx’s expedited passport service. He called a coworker right in front of us on his cell phone as she was on break and she stated to wait 15mins and she would be in to help us. We waited 15mins and came back in and got to the counter, it was totally empty in the Post Office at this point and let her know we waited for the coworker that could assist us. This woman was very rude to us and stated that because we didn’t have an appointment she could not help us. When I told her of the situation and that the Gentleman spoke to his coworker and she told us to wait for her, she said, that doesn’t matter you need an appointment, its now after 12pm. We pleaded with her to help because we need our passport expedited after paying $600 to get in here on time. She said “well I can’t help you because you need an appointment and I’m not helping walk-ins after 12pm, you can drive to Dallas, TX and they can help you. I am so disappointed in this Post Office and that woman should be fired for how nasty and...
Read moreTerrible customer service. I went today to drop off a package which I already had a pre-printed label for. Seeing a roll of packing tape on the counter, I did not grab a roll to purchase on my way to the counter. When I got up to send the package, I asked the lady at the counter if I could use the tape to seal the package and tape on the label. She rolled her eyes at me and said “no- this tape is for priority labels only, and your label is first class.” This was rude enough in the first place. I then said, okay then I’ll grab a roll of tape, please ring it in for me. She pushed my package aside and said “you can go to the back of the line when you are actually ready.” I was ready. Ready to pay at that moment but instead she literally pushed my stuff to the side and called up the next customer before I had a chance to even grab it off the counter. Unreal that someone like this is able to keep a job in customer service. She was so impatient and acted as though her tone was more important than anyone else’s. Furthermore it takes less than one minute to put a piece of ($4.00) tape on a package which I could have been done by the time she rung the tape up...
