Nice park overall. Can fish and has dog park also. Walking trails and frisby golf. Kept clean and manicured. Has memorial sites which is kind of sad to walk by on a sunny day though. For people who don't clean up after their dogs, this park recently put in dog waste bags and trash cans for your convenience. Really nice feature. That is not a big problem there but when it does happen, you are reminded of how rude and self-centered some people are. Dogs off leashes are rare but it is rude when people do it. Some people are scared of dogs and shouldn't have to feel uncomfortable at a public park that makes it a rule for dogs to be on a leash. The dog park is for that purpose. None of that is the park's fault because neither is a big problem but it's just my chance to say it. People may not have thought of the fact that their dog off a leash might scare a kid or someone. South of the back (west) entrance, the walking trail is often empty and I know for me at least it's because of the talk weeds covering a creek. It feels dangerous to walk that way when no one is down there which is often. For kids especially. That's my only complaint for...
Read moreI live in Mustang proper. Great park. Has a good special needs playground that's fun for all kids. The library is right there. The pool is right there. I have never seen a tank, but they have a lot of events there, so it may have been there temporarily. If you love shooting off fireworks, but it's illegal in your city, this is the place to spend the 4th. It's the wild west out here y'all. We have stands everywhere and you can set yours off in the park. If you don't want to set them off, though our city show was last weekend, you can sit in a lawn chair & watch all the locals for miles around set theirs off. Not the place to be if you have PTSD, but fun otherwise. It really makes you feel like part of something patriotic to be there. Restrooms may only be accessible when the...
Read moreGreat space for play. Fenced area with a main entrance and a gate to get to the splash pad. Lots of multi-level play. Splash pad is nice too. There are 2 drawbacks. One is that there are NO BATHROOMS on site. You have to walk across a huge parking lot to get to the community center/library. And, when you get there, there is a sign that says if you are wet, have a swimsuit on or are barefoot you are not allowed to go inside! Two is that there is stagnant/standing water on the southeast side. There is brown algae growing in this water and it is extremely SLIPPERY. We had a fun time here but we won't be back. There are too many other splash pads that have bathrooms and...
