For everyone looking for a gospel oriented church - FBC Mustang is the place. I started going to FBC because the original church I was attending was very modern and instead of orienting around the gospel, they oriented around the people - I would walk out of a “feel good” sermon feeling like I learned nothing and eventually became unmotivated to attend church. This being said - my previous was a good stepping stone to where I needed to be. I was searching for a church that would have sermons that would be “in” the Bible. Not every sermon is easy and it is my belief that it should be that way. If I’m not being told that I’m doing something wrong or need to work on something because God is my standard not society then I didn’t wanna be there. I found everything I was wanting/needing and more in a church at FBC - a fantastic environment, excellent pastors, great people, amazing sermons, and so many opportunities to better and educate yourself. If you're looking for a church that's accepting of ALL, this is not the church for you. I was a member for 10+ years and the last time I attended here the teacher said "men & men, women & women, what has the world come to?" As a young queer kid/adult all I wanted was a church that would love and accept me and I got neither of those things.
