Scrapbooks By The Sea — Local services in Myrtle Beach

It's hard to really give this a review either negative or positive. The store has a wonderful selection of merchandise, and the prices are comparable to most other stores selling the same type thing. I have visited there 2x this week & the first visit was FAR superior to the 2nd one. We were welcomed by "Linda" who was helpful the entire TWO HOURS that 4 of us were there. Collectively we spent nearly $400! I would say that was a good day for the store. Today we were greeted by a VERY sweet dog & "I" was planning on spending quite a bit again today. However, we/I didn't get the same nice reception from the worker(owner maybe) that I did from Linda. However, the sweet dog was certainly worth the visit. When I asked about a stamp, I was told that "SHE" would NOT be looking for it for me, rather than simply saying in a nicer tone that it may be sold out. I placed the items I had planned on purchasing back on the rack (in there original slot) & left without spending a dime. I suppose I can thank the lady for being so rude as she saved me nearly $100. It's a shame she missed a good sale today. I want to give the store a high score for the first visit & "1" for the 2nd, but will split...

Spent quite a bit of $ here the last month since I’ve moved here due to the variety of items carried. Got a pink bag, which supposedly entitles one to discounts exclusives and sales non- pink bag ppl don’t get. I have yet to receive an email or sale or any info thus far.. (weeks). Not approached upon entering , get a yell from the back,Feel as though I bother the owner and her helper on mondays and fridays as they have girl time / gossip time, at the class tables and they choose to point out products rather than physically help.I had another large order, I noticed a 27$ discrepancy in the total. Called owner and was not apologetic at all, was coming across as frustrated and like I was lying , she said “ bring everything back in and the receipt” $700 worth of items and 2 torn bags .... I am disabled and that is all she could work out? I will not be returning to this store, and I believe in supporting small business, actually am passionate about it. This store is wanting me to bring all.pThis stuff back and receipt over $27.00. Wow, be wary of check out process, and don’t expect good customer service here. Sad she could have a good...

We were very excited to find a scrapbook store near where we were. We were greeted by a nice older lady as we walked in and were overwhelmed by the about of things, but we certainly got turned off by the other younger lady (perhaps the owner). She wasn’t helpful, asked me why on earth I would want the glue bottle I was looking for and talked me into another (not happy with it by the way). They then sat at a table and enjoyed their lunch while we looked around and tried to check out. She wasn’t helpful. She seemed like we were bothering her lunch time. I thought what a lovely store but I won’t visit again. I’m sure my business won’t shut then down, but most scrapbook people are friendly, helpful and genuine. Two of my group wouldn’t buy anything due to her attitude and comments about merchandise. Very disappointed in the fact that we felt Unwelcome and comments to us that made us fell as though we knew nothing about scrapbooking....
