I get into John's once in awhile to buy a few overpriced cigars or something for my humidors, or just a cool lighter. It's overpriced but whatever.
So yesterday I was in there with a friend and he was eyeballing the selection of lighters so I told him to pick one out and I'd buy it for him. I figured it was what, like $90 tops? Okay.
But your guy treats him like he's some kind of a tweaker thief, moving to keep himself between my friend and the lighters, blocking him with the door, turning the cabinet away, not letting him see any of the actual lighters. Bro actually told him your lighters are "too good" for cigarettes. Completely unsure why this is how you think a business is run.
And yeah maybe it would have only been a $60 sale, but who just turns up their nose at a sale which is already a done deal? Is John's just rolling in piles of so much cash they can let guaranteed sales walk out the door?

Staff were helpful, directing me to higher-quality bottles and a pineapple-based Hawaiian vodka I brought home to try.
