Naples Airport — Local services in Naples

I would give this airport 0 stars if I could. First of all I have lived in naples 23 years and have never been as bothered by the air traffic as I have been this season. Airplanes were simply an annoyance, but they were usually up high enough or were not frequent enough for it to even be a big issue. Ever since October of 2021 it has been absolutely a nightmare. Planes at 7 am , non stop all day until dusk. Planes at 1 am. Planes on weekends, holidays no break at all. Every once in a while the wind is in my favor and I have a nice peaceful day.

I do not live close to the airport for this exact reason , you would think 6 miles away from a private airport would be enough to where it’s not a horrible disturbance. Apparently this airport has recently been allowing pilots to fly extremely low in residential areas not even close to the airport. Literally by the beach. I have left many complaints and they probably just look at them and do nothing. I mean a little airplane noise is ok but if the entire house is shaking vibrating my bones that is excessive and ridiculous. It has been starting to calm down at night, thankfully but for a while I could not go for a walk without a plane rattling my whole body.

I suffer from debilitating hearing disorders that have been made horribly worse by this airplane noise. Anybody who has tinnitus bad enough knows it is not worth making it worse. My tinnitus went from hearing a moderate ringing to a train horn 24/7 in a matter of months. I also suffer from hyperacusis, which is even worse. Loud noise makes my ears feel like they are being stabbed and moten lava is being poured in on top. It is excruciatingly painful and there is no cure, no treatment, no medicine, to treat this debilitating combo. My ears are in so much pain now it hurts to eat, shower , even watch tv. What makes it even worse is when a noise is loud enough, my tolerance drops permanently. Then it gets easier and easier to set the pain off. Now the pain is 24/7 and I am wearing hearing protection all day in my own house. It’s still not enough to block out the airplane noise.

Now obviously I know the airport probably won’t do anything, they are making way to much money. Naples is getting busier and busier, thousands of people flooding down here, once quiet and peaceful naples, is now a busy noisy city. It will only keep growing making the air traffic worse and worse. People move down to Naples usually to relax and retire or get some peace and quiet. My piece of advice to anybody moving here, if you don’t want to be around insanely loud droning, vibrating planes, waking you up all hours of the night, affecting your work and health, don’t move within 10 miles of this airport.

I love going there all of these 1 star reviews are bs they are a small airport private mainly great customer service as well as multiple seating in eating room, lounge room and sitting area and t.v’s and vending machines to get snacks out of they also have coffee hot coco and tea and oatmeal if you are hungry and fly in early there is also a old museum you can look at that is very interesting if your waiting for a flight or on...

The airport was medium size and easily accessible. Not many food options prior to security. There was a Mc Donald’s and one another Italian restaurant. The bathrooms were not very clean. The airport did have a lounge or 2. We were able to easily get into the lounge. The ocean lounge didn’t have many food options. The bathrooms were fairly clean compared to the bathrooms outside the lounge. Would recommend the airport for quick...
