Naples Aviation — Local services in Naples

Our school took some of our students who are interested in aviation, aerospace, and science to Naples Airport in Naples. This was one of the best experiences the students had the entire week of trips that we took. The tour guides, staff, pilots, secretaries, hostess, security, air traffic controllers, etc were the best! They were so kind, experienced, fun, and caring of our students learning the ins and outs of the operations of an airport. The students were glued in to all that they were taught and showed. We saw how planes are brought in and inspected, how guests are checked in upon arrival, the intricate details of air traffic control, the benefits and training that it takes to become a pilot, etc. We saw a plethora of planes, jets, and helicopters of many wealthy people. What a wonderful find. We were heading to Key West in our Velocity but weather dictated an unplanned overnight stop at Naples. We were greeted very warmly by Naples Aviation and treated like royalty. Anni was so welcoming and helpful (danke schoen!). Their facility is top notch with a lot of amenities. 100 LL was just $5.03 (while the regional average is $7.50+). I had never been to Naples before but based on our experience at this FBO and their recommendations on where to stay and what to do, I will likely return with my family and in my airplane. Never been anywhere like it. We were picked up by golf carts and taken inside. We were greeted by friendly staff and chocolates. There is a fantastic coffee machine and while I was drinking it, I wandered into the pilot lounge and was greeted by the most glorious sight. A massage chair. I sat myself down and clicked 'full body'. I've never felt such pleasure before, it grabbed onto me and started rubbing the stress away. After feeling well looked after, I grabbed some complementary snacks and headed out to pay. The only downside is it's a bit spenny at about $25, but definitely worth it at least once.
