Just had the worst experience at the deli. They have pre-cut meats. I like my deli meats very thin. I waited for someone to wait on me. No employee--there were 3 behind the deli counter even looked at me. I was the only customer. I spoke with a woman who appeared to be a manager and I asked if I could have someone cut my deli meats and she said of course. She called to the staff at the deli counter. The staff at the deli counter appeared annoyed with me. I did get my roast beef cut thin (took forever) then when I asked for Swiss cheese, the woman replied-isn't it out there. I said I like mine cut very thin, you precut to thick. The woman was annoyed. Took forever again to get my 1/4 of Swiss cheese. The staff made me feel uncomfortable to the point where I was concerned with the deli meats I just bought. I have no idea what's going on in that back room. I threw the meat away when I got home. Just a thought for anyone who wants deli meats at this place, the staff is lazy and do not want to cut your meats for you. I guess it is hard to find workers these days. Good Luck to the management at this place. I guess I will have to drive to Hannaford's, maybe I will get...
Read moreOnly business in town that doesn't allow a hiking bag/backpack in to use as a bag for groceries (even if left at a register before doing your shopping). We who have a medical condition and have to carry our groceries home, don't get to have that option but every other establishment in Naples doesn't even question you with one on your back and are turned away. I do in every store but there because it's prohibited. Everywhere else allows everyone to have it on. I grab a basket or cart, do my shopping and after purchase, put everything in my hiking bag to carry 2 miles home. It's an inconvenience. Management should allow the allowance of leaving them at the register to be used as a bag just like the reusable bags. Prices are high for daily residents (we notice higher prices during tourist season). There's so many displays that it makes many aisles single lane. Coolers are usually down and have to be repaired frequently, so you can't get items that...
Read moreServes a purpose. Cashiers are nice, but check your meats before you buy them. The owners are tightwads (so the employees said) and will sell you old, rotten, expired meat and fish if you don't watch out. I lived in Casco/Naples for years and it's always been the same. I actually took meat with black stuff on it off tge shelf before and handed it to the deli workers to throw out. They have old produce, too. Sorry to say upon revisiting, not much has changed there. Just the workers, and you can tell they are not happy employees. Guessing they just work there because it's convenient. All the employees I knew there are GONE. They could do better. They just don't. They are convenient so they don't care about...
