This was are first time at the Bistro and I have to say It was very disappointing. We ordered 3 lobster dinners a Scallop dinner and some poppers. It took almost an hour to get our meals. When we got the buzz to pickup our food and got it back to the table it was suppose to come with fries and coleslaw. One of the meals had neither coleslaw or fries and the other two had fries but no coleslaw. No utensils we had to go back twice and get silverware Crackers to open lobsters, picks and napkins. The lobsters were over cooked and one of them we had to return because we could even get the meat out of the shell. We had to order a side of corn which they charged $5 for an ear of corn. The fries and popovers were very soggy and pretty much uneatable. The scallops were fine but six scallops on top of soggy fries. Out of these lobster meals the only thing that was good was the corn and coleslaw. The place is way overpriced and the food was subpar. The band was good though. We will not be returning...
Read moreStopped by to get a quick sandwich (on Mon 7/25) and ordered takeout of pulled pork sandwich, which is a favorite of mine at Gary's in Naples. Taste was good, but very disappointed with roll being burned on inside and the amount was VERY skimpy. I don't like giving a so-so review, but the amount of pork didn't even cover the hamburger roll. Thinking is was a half hour before closing, maybe they were running out? I really should have brought it to there attention as I sat across the street on the Causeway. While I waited for my order I believe I was speaking to the owner. Just having a casual conversation asking how the business was doing as this was my first time. She mentioned it has been very busy, she was exhausted and running out of items. Netherless, the frĂes were seasoned nicely, hot and not greasy. I gave it a 3, but more like a 2 because of the sandwich. However, I will...
Read moreWe ordered the connecticut lobster roll for $41 (comes with fries) and the fried scallop dinner for $39 which comes with fries and slaw. The lobster roll was the smallest we have encountered anywhere in maine and there were 6 small mediocre scallops in a strange batter. I drank a vodka lemonade which was good and my husband got a manhattan which was about 2 ounces ($16). We both left hungry and thirsty after a $120 cafeteria style (order at window, pickup, clean your tray after) lunch. The service was also lacking. The person ringing in orders had to ask for help several times and seemed new to the job and disinterested. This restaurant used to be very highly rated and the ratings have gone down a lot recently. I hope they turn things around because it is a...
