Most UPS stores are alike. You walk in with your Amazon return, youāre greeted by an associate who scans your stuff, they complete your visit and off you go.
Other UPS stores donāt have Vincenzo though. He helped my mother and I through what wouldāve been an extremely frustrating experience with Amazon. Long story short, we had two BIG HEAVY boxes to return and the paperwork I was given was not only wrong but wouldāve cost me $300 in shipping costs. Before I even walked into the store, he realized Iād need help and told me heād be out to help me. He spent the next 45 minutes explaining to us why the paperwork was wrong, helped get in touch with an actual person at Amazon, explained what Amazon was talking about when we were confused, calmed us down when they were giving me a hard time for the mistake and offered different solutions of what to do if it couldnāt be fixed. All while running in and out of the store to assist other customers as they came in and helping another associate with questions (I think he may have been training). On top of the over 200 dollars for a yearly fee for a box, they charge 3 dollars per package if you receive more than 20 in a month. The manager Peter is so rude, loud, and condescending. He treats me like a child and talks so loud, reprimanding me for going over my package limit, which I have only done twice in 2 years. I left there in tears the other day because he was so rude and loud, and he totally embarrassed me in front of EVERYONE in the store. He accused me of saying things to other employees that I didn't even say. It blows my mind how rude he is and unprofessional. I love all the other employees there, but Peter is awful. To begin with, the parking situation is terribleāthere is no nearby parking, and I had no choice but to leave my car at Popeyes and carry a heavy package all the way to the store. I finally made it in at 6:24 PM, only to be met with hostility. The employee told me he had already closed both registers and refused to take my package.
I explained that I would have arrived earlier, around 6:10, if there had been parking available. Instead of showing any understanding, he responded rudely and aggressively, telling me he had been there since 9 AM and that ā you should have come at 4 or 5 PM.ā His tone and demeanor made the whole situation unnecessarily unpleasant.
