Food Lion — Local services in Nashville-Davidson

Great grocery store. I loved shopping at their University Blvd location and the aisles were always full and prices were really competitive. This is a new location I visited for a money order and the cashier was really helpful. She helped me quickly and guided me through a few returns after purchase and helped with coupons. I love their MVP program and would recommend to anyone shopping for great fresh produce, bakery items, meat or deli or even beverages. I found a few beer options which I didn’t see in any other grocery store nearby, and I had already looked at Kroger, Giant, Aldi and Walmart. I would like to recommend anyone going for groceries, to visit the location between 7 and 9:30 am as that’s when they receive the fresh stock of produce and meat. I loved their fresh fish spread and prices were quite reasonable. I was delighted to find variety of beyond meat products which were cheaper than all other local grocery stores. Also, money order charges were really reasonable and will surely visit this location for any other money orders. The store is a great place to shop considering the other stores in the area are not as well stocked. However it is not because of head management that this store is well run. All the managers care about is thier bottom line, bonuses and vacation time. It's because of some of the loyal employees. Head management do not listen to valid claims about staffing issues, the need for quality help and overworking the good employees to let others slack off. Corporate does not listen or even take complaints seriously enough to return calls, emails or valid reports to HR. In fact they forward the complaints right back to the locations manager that the complaint is about.. They require you to take computer training on the steps in which to take in cases of harassment. BUT YET do not follow protocol in the store. Management either does not understand, or does not care when employees just walk off the job after getting no where with thier concerns. Shop there for the prices, but don't expect good customer service. And work there at...

Updated review, As I noticed so many negative complaints about one specific employee I took the time to go back in and speak with the manager (Rob) he was absolutely awesome and took the time to listen to me, Made me feel really cared about; and made me feel reassured that the issue would be taken care of! The managers at this food lion (especially Rob, the evening manager; rock! 🤩)

So many of the employees are super rude, There is only like two that are kind and hard-working; And the rest are lazy and rude to the customers leaving all the work for the very few employees that actually care about their job and do a good job. Just left after a cashier was ranting about people insert their cards to aggressively 🙄 I think if anyone was aggressive, it was likely the screaming cashier, but I guess that’s just my opinion… Definitely go to any other stores if you...
