The young lady who helped me was extremely kind and helpful. I was looking for certain items and she didn’t push the most expensive brands, she suggested ones she’s heard good feedback about. I was looking for something to put foundation on my face, other than my hands. Those sponges and she even agreed, no matter the brand or shape, they absorb your foundation costing you more money. You have to buy foundation more frequently when a sponge is absorbing half of of your foundation. I’ve tried brushes but they can tend to leave streaks. She showed me a brush that had shorter bristles and a rougher texture, I know it sounds like it wouldn’t work but it does! It’s Sephora brand and when she saw it cost $32, she said that I could find a similar brush for much less somewhere else, if I wanted to. She said just make sure it’s similar to this one. I bought it anyways, I wanted to get the right brush. It’s not like it’s disposable, and it works great without wasting foundation. I went home and did find similar brushes, for less. The fact that she tried to save me money, by buying elsewhere was a very kind and selfless gesture! I don’t want to get her in trouble, so I can’t mention her name, or I would. I can say she has good morals and very pretty curly hair. I took a star off because Sephora and Kohl’s have just gotten so expensive like Target, they get people addicted to their products and as soon as they get popular, BAM they up everything, no matter the economy. I personally like to support local/small businesses and for some items 2nd hand, especially clothing for my 9 yr old. I spent $50 on 2 sweaters At Kohl’s and that was the sale price! They weren’t fancy or name brand. I did drop about $200 at Sephora on 5 items, that’s not too bad, seeing that cosmetics are expensive. Well these are just my opinion. I am happy with the experience and products I purchased. I just wish they didn’t get so greedy. They do offer some good perks if you become a member. Try to support community businesses or 2nd hand stores, especially for kids! Second hand shops have name brand items too. I don’t own a business that sells goods. I do however live in an area where, community supports the local businesses and the local businesses support the community! Many local businesses do spirit nights, they donate a percentage of their earnings to local schools and parks, they earned that day/night! Some sponsor free events for the community. East Nashville has a strong sense of community, I’m definitely proud to have called it home for over 20 years. I know this is off subject but I just wanted...
Read moreJust left this location and I had the worse experience in this Sephora. I will never return, I guess you have to look or dress a certain way for help. The young lady that was trying to color match me for foundation, I’m guessing she was taking to long and the lady got on the headset and told her to stop helping me and help other customers like I wasn’t a paying customer. I had let them help other customers before me and I didn’t complain. It’s not my fault that they have people without knowledge of how to color match makeup because if they did it wouldn’t have took so long. But I want EVER...
Read moreIf I could give 0 stars I would. I came in knowing exactly what I needed and when it wasn't in the display I asked the employee if it was discontinued. She responded "Oh, I have no idea. You'd have to go on the website to look that up". When I asked if she could look that up she said she couldn't and I'd just have to go online. Frustrated I left and went home and looked it up. It indeed had been discontinued and the website suggest another tone that was in stock at the store. This is why people don't shop at brick and...
