If you don't want to read a long review, then stop here: it's worth your money, it's worth your time; they accommodate for dietary restrictions (we had dairy, gluten, and oat allergies). You will have a good experience and learn about Nashville in the process. Now to the full review...
The general overview/flow: -4 savory food stops, 1 sweet -Walk 2-3 blocks in-between venues, to the next -Guide will talk about the stops and history about the area while walking
Story and experience:
We wanted to have a small wedding (12 people, just best friends and close family) and since none of them lived in Nashville, we wanted everyone to experience the city. We contacted W&E to see if they'd be able to support this kind of a party and they excitedly agreed (to note: they absolutely could have just refused. This is not something they have done pre-our group, though we were happy to be the first). We also had a lot of allergies (dairy, lactose intolerance, gluten, and oat), which they accommodated.
We booked with them via minimum deposit ($500) and then sent out RSVPs for the wedding to finalize the guest amount and paid the rest. We also did drink pairings, which was a bit extra, but the drinks were waiting at each stop and we never had to pause. This also offered a perfect opportunity for my best friend to say a few words (at our 2nd stop, a wine bar).
The stops were amazing and since I'm not reviewing each restaurant here, just know the food was perfect for our party. Yes, I understand some of my comments are generic, but I truly believe the planners at Walk and Eat are good enough to warrant blanket comments like, "amazing" or "perfect".
This tour brought us through an area that had been ravaged by the 3rd and most recent major tornado in Nashville's history. It was heartwarming to see buildings that had once been turned to ruble, rebuilt and supported by the community. New restaurants were pointed out to us while walking and you could tell that Sterling (our guide) was not only familiar, but completely part of the community here. They waved at locals and it just felt like you were walking through the town with a friend who knew about its history. They showed us images of Nashville in the past and how it was rebuilt over and over to be even better. Very cool.
Above and beyond: We had a lot of people with full suits, high-heels, and dresses. These may not have been the best clothes for walking, but we wanted the cool-factor of walking around in wedding attire. Regardless, Shannon (owner of W&E), personally went out and bought sandals for all the ladies that had high-heels on and several of our party accepted the gift. To skip a bit to the last stop: while Sterling led us through the town, Shannon, unknown to us, was buying a wedding cake. She met us at the final stop, in a beautiful cathedral that was remodeled into a hotel. In the lobby, there was champagne and cake, waiting for us. Usually, the last stop is a dessert shop (like doughnuts, ice cream, or candy). This was very unexpected as we didn't plan on having cake. I think my wife started tearing up a bit. We were able to get the classic "wife and husband feeding each other cake" video and it was 100% because of W&E.
I'll never forget what they did for us and I highly encourage you: if you want to see Nashville and try out the food scene, Walk and Eat is your best option.
Thank you, Walk and Eat Nashville.

Read moreThis was my second tour with Walk Eat Nashville and both tours exceeded my expectations. This time my husband and I requested a private tour for us and our wedding guests which acted as a non-traditional reception, as our first tour, 3 years ago, began our love for food and each other.
I realize it was a big ask to request the team at Walk Eat Nashville to do their first wedding, but they knocked it out of the park. Each stop blew us away with the tastes, history, and stories they offered. Not to mention our guides Sterling and Shannon(owner) awed us with their endless knowledge of the area and its history.
They gave us the best nachos I’ve ever had at the Wild Cow, A plethora of treats paired with an extensive drink menu at Van Gogh’s Wine Bar (I recommend the rose), legendary brisket taco’s at Edley's Bar-B-Que which were temperature controlled to perfection. Finally, to top it all off they surprised us with a lovely wedding cake and champagne toast at The Russell. Which was one of the most beautiful locations in Nashville that I have had the privilege of visiting.
As if the quality of the tour was not enough, these women blew me away with their thoughtfulness and attention to detail. Our lactose intolerant and gluten free guests were accommodated for at every stop, diet safe menu options were prepared and waiting for them at every stop so that they could enjoy themselves without a worry. On top of this, when they noticed my mother-in-law was in heels, they brought us sandals for every lady in our group, so that we could all be comfortable.
They went above and beyond to ensure our special day was perfect and exceeded our already high expectations. They are a truly passionate and talented team and have given us an unforgettable experience. If you have any important event your thinking of celebrating, I recommend celebrating with Walk Eat Nashville. They will give you a truly magical experience that you will...
Read moreWe went on the Downtown Nashville Food Tour and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Nashville (even if you're just there for a quick weekend). We visited 4 restaurants and then a candy shop for dessert. The food at each stop was delectable. I will be talking about the fried green tomato until the day I die. There was also a margarita along the way.
Sterling was a fantastic tour guide. It was apparent that she had a strong relationship with the staff at each of the restaurants, which showed when we were accidentally served a full-sized cocktail instead of the usual sample size. In chatting with Sterling about our plans for the remainder of our weekend, we mentioned that we were visiting to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Studio B. Sterling pulled out two passes that she gifted to us, which saved us over $100 on our visit there. We were so grateful for her kindness and generosity. She absolutely went above and beyond any average tour guide. In addition to that, she was simply fun to hang out with and it felt like we made a friend while enjoying fantastic food and learning about Nashville.
When I was initially planning a food tour for this weekend, I was stuck between Walk Eat Nashville, and another company with equally as great reviews, but the other was quite a bit more expensive. I'm so glad that I ultimately decided with Walk Eat Nashville. Take this tour if you are...
