The Natchez mall is nothing like it once was when I was a child. When I was a child Natchez mall was the place to go for any type of shopping. Whether it was for back to school, Christmas, weddings and bridal registry, or just to go window shopping. However, now the mall is almost a ghost town with very few shops open and when you enter the mall you have this obscenely strange feeling you need to guard your purse or handbag with your life. There are few businesses that have some White Weathered the storm and her still there and open for business, but very few that I can remember from my childhood. I don't understand how it's still open, but they're still there. So if you stop there to shop at Natchez Mall don't think you're going to go into your normal, busy mall with store after store to choose from. Because you'll be sadly mistaken and disappointed. It's sad to see what was once a hopping, booming, thriving entity is now just a shell and a relic of what once was. And ask for the movie theater attached to it....... I wouldn't even take my mother-in-law there oh, and that's saying a lot because he and I do not see eye-to-eye. It stinks and smells of the previous 25 maybe 30 individuals that sat there, 17 of which did not take a bath. It's disgusting. Let's hope and pray that something happens positively for the Natchez Mall in the near future because I wouldn't suggest an extra small to anyone for a shopping extravaganza. All in all though, I do have to say that I love going there for the rue21 experience. That's about the only good...
Read moreI rate this with a solid 2 out of 5 stars because the mall is little to explore but I miss all of the stores in it. Everything is gone from over there. It is not even mall to say. The cinema, the fun arcade, shopping stores. and other places are gone. I remember when I was little I would go see Santa on that middle stage when you come in. The only place are go to is Cato, Belk, Hibbert Sports, and City Gear. To be honest, I wish they would have a Natchez Mall 2.0. Make the place bigger with 2 floor with an escalator. Put more shopping stores like (p.s. I'm just name things idk 🤷♂️) They should put JcPenny, a new arcade for all ages, food places, Spencer's, new cinema, and just newer places to make the mall a whole again. I haven't been at that mall since Covid-19. I miss this though. To me it is nostalgic. I have memories here with my family. I been to the movies here, I been to the fun arcade. That is all I can think of. It been long to say at least. They should make newer mall with different and also funner places to go. I hope that they don't let the mall go completely into a ghost town with nothing in it. That would be sad to say. Don't let this mall go to waste like that. Do something more with it. Be creative and don't hold back on the creativity. Do something more with...
Read moreI'm giving it three stars only for nostalgia purposes. The Natchez Mall can never make the claim to have been a "happening place". Ever. It never had much going for it in the first place: one floor, limited store options, a pathetic attempt at a so-called food court, and not a lot else to do. The bookstore, the sporting goods store, and the arcade were the only places here that I enjoyed. The arcade, Fun Tunnel (insert joke), was actually fantastic, one of the best I've ever been to. Seeing what the mall has become in the years since the early 1990s makes me very sad. I hate to see dead malls, but this is one that needs to go. It's on life support, barely hanging on. Thank you for all the good memories, Natchez Mall, but it's time to give it up and...
