Very long review, but I wanted to explain exactly what happened so that people can know what to expect:
I used Events to Remember for my wedding based on a friend's good experience. I almost bought table cloths because it would have been cheaper, but my now-husband thought it would be better to use someone that had experience with our venue so that we would have all the right sizes. When I came in to get my original quote, the lady who helped me kind of had a know-it-all attitude, but I was okay with that because I thought she at least knew what she was doing. I had forgotten my table lay out and she said she knew everything from memory. However, when I got home I compared the quote to the layout and realized it was completely wrong. So I called back and re-ordered with the owner. I verified everything with the venue owner and thought I was all set.
The day of the wedding my dad picked up the linens and napkins and made the mistake of not counting everything at that time. When they (my family and the venue coordinator) started putting on the linens and napkins at the venue, they realized we were shorted 55 napkins and 1 table cloth. They tried calling Events to Remember, which had already closed, and then called every other rental place in town but finally had to run to Target and get some white napkins to incorporate with my blush napkins to try to make it look like it was on purpose. They had to rearrange all the tables so that they didn't have to use the one without a table cloth. Of course, I ended up hearing about this while I was getting ready for my big day, which really upset me and stressed me out.
I asked my friend to return the linens for me on Monday since we were already going to be gone on my honeymoon, and I explained to her what happened and asked her to see if they would refund the money for at least the napkins and linens we were missing. Whoever she dealt with was so rude to her that when my friend left, she went to her car and cried! I don't know what kind of customer service that is! My friend is extremely sweet and they basically called her a liar and wouldn't even recount the napkins and linens to see if they were wrong.
My husband called when we got back and after also encountering some snarky responses, was able to get a partial refund. I am happy I at least got this, but that doesn't make up for the way they treated my friend, having my family run around town the day of the wedding to find napkins, and having me stress out the day of my wedding. In my opinion, we paid these people a lot of money to do their job, so their shouldn't have been any mistakes, at least not that large of one. And they should have admitted when they were wrong or at the very least, been polite when listening to a complaint. I hate to leave a horrible review on a small business, but honestly, this place deserves it. I definitely do not...
Read moreWe hired Events to Remember for our wedding and overall, I would give them a 4/5. They have a LOT of linen options which is so nice, and their prices are definitely affordable! They also have other decor options you can add on (candles, china, flatware) and that definitely made the planning process a little easier! The main things I think can be improved on are communication and professionalism. I went into their design studio twice and both times I felt a bit unwelcome and rushed throughout my visit. I added items to my order on my second visit and when I called a week or 2 later for the updated quote (which I hadn't received), they said those items weren't added and were no longer available. They also showed up late to do the set up the day before our wedding so we were behind an hour. The ladies setting everything up did a great job and I know the delay wasn't due to their error, it was what was put on their schedule. It seems to me like they may be understaffed and if they had more employees, things would be a lot easier for both them and their clients. Still, I do recommend them with these things in mind, and I would book them again due to their linen and decor...
Read moreThis is a very deceiving place, they make you feel extremely welcomed and seem accessible but they are not. I truly believe some of the horrible reviews on here. While I did not have a bad experience overall I can say that Nicole, the showroom assistant or what not, has zero class, education, professionalism, and/or manners. She was all over the spectrum, being extremely "kind" at times and extremely "belligerent" others.
The only positive side was that their rentals are good quality and priced right. We picked up and dropped off, they seemed bothered by us doing that. The person that released the linen and went through it all with us at pick up was not the same one that received the linen. And of course, as stated on previous reviews, Nicole argued that we were missing items which were not on the contract or accounted for such as a milk crate used to transport the coffee machine.
Since the vast majority of our unpleasant experience occurred after the wedding, I would not recommend this place as its not worth the bitter experience but if you are not interested in decent customer service then...
