Went to New Bedford Empire loan location to.drop a guitar off . I needed money so I knew I could get a quick dollar. I was bringing in my 1980 Gibson black beauty custom guitar.well luckily I had brought my PRS custom 24 that I borrowed against before. At the time that I brought my prs guitar there were other people there. They were polite and very knowledgeable. The guy behind the counter this time was very rude like he didn't want to deal with me. Said they couldn't give me what I wanted because it had belt wear on the back. I said do you even know what this is? He actually admitted he didn't. So why all the rude remarks. He said something about the case and about the appearance of the guitar. It got to the point where I said would it just be easier to borrow against a guitar that is in my history? Meaning the PRS . He said yes because he didn't want to go through the trouble of researching the value of the Gibson. I was not happy with the shorty service all because of one guy . If he was more pleasant this review would be alot different . And just because he was so rude is why this is a...

AND, I HAVE TO SAY, THAT AS TOUGH AS IT IS, TO HAVE TO BRING IN AN ITEM THAT YOU LOVE, TO GET A LOAN ON IT, DURING TOUGH TIMES, THE STAFF REALLY HELPS MAKE YOU FEEL, SPECIAL, AND ARE VERY PLEASANT AND RESPECTFUL.... THEY ALWAYS TALK TO ME, AND TREAT ME AS A PERSON... WHICH IS NOT EASY, IN THEY'RE FIELD.... THEY DEF MAKE THE SADNESS, OF THE MOMENT, EASIER, AND EVEN LET US KNOW, AT LEAST OUR PROPERTY IS SAFE, AND READY FOR US, WHEN WE GET UP, AND ABLE TO GET IT BACK.... THEY HAVE CHANGED MY PERSPECTIVE, ON PAWN SHOPS, OF COURSE, IT IS A BUSINESS, AND IS NOT IN A POSITION TO JUST GIVE MONEY AWAY.... SO, THEY HAVE TO CHARGE A FINANCE FEE, FOR THE MONEY BORROWED.... BUT, IT IS BETTER THAN SELLING IT, AND LOSING IT FOREVER.... I HIGHLY RECOMMEND, EMPIRE LOAN FOR YOUR JEWELRY NEEDS, TOOL NEEDS, AND EVEN ELECTRONICS.... I have visited and used various pawn shops in the past for a business I have.. Empire Loan in New Bedford has plenty of parking and the exterior as well as interior is very very clean. You walk inside and your greeted right away automatically by the staff there.

The attendant that assisted me twice now, his name is Juan Aponte.. very outgoing i got service with a smile. He had the information at his fingertips and was very knowledgeable. The transaction took under 5 minutes both times.

Again this was due to his being professional knowing what he was doing and taking the transaction very serious.

I highly highly recommend Empire Loan to handle anybody's transactions whether you're pawning something or selling. Again I have used other pawn shops in the past and by far Empire Loan is the best bang for your buck and best return for your investment.
