TERRIBLE SERVICE!! I usually love to try new breakfast places & get to see what different breakfast places have, the service today reminds me why I stick to my all time favs. It’s a “seat yourself” type of place so as I’m going to sit down at a table I see a booth become available so I asked nicely to move & as I’m moving after about almost 10 mins of already sitting at the table the nasty attitude waitress comes over & I said oh sorry we’re just gonna love to a booth, she didn’t say a word she just turned around & left. Now I’m at the booth waiting for about 10 mins for my waitress to come over, she comes over DOESNT introduce herself doesn’t say anything other than “what do you want to drink” I found this to be very very very rude considering I work at a restaurant myself & this is NOT the way to greet a table. I’m enjoying my breakfast the food wansnt bad, she didn’t come over a single time to ask us if we needed anything. Didn’t ask us if we needed refills, napkins, etc. As I’m finishing up my food I clean up my plate & leave it at the end of the table I waited 15 minutes for her to finally come over to take only ONE plate & when I finally ask for the bill it takes another 5-10 mins for her to bring it & another 7 to run my debit card. Let me remind you I’m only about 15 feet away from...
Read moreI have to be honest—when we decided to stop by New Bedford for breakfast on our way back to New York City, I had low expectations. When I learned the best place in New Bedford was called “The Breakfast Klub,” my hopes were... not improved.
I was totally wrong. The Breakfast Klub is a cozy little spot on a smallish street. There’s a nice outdoor dining area, which was perfect for COVID.
The food was great, and surprisingly Portuguese. Sitting out front with us was a pair of older couples speaking in Portuguese.
On the menu were omelettes with linguica (sort of like a Portuguese chorizo), and Galão (a milky coffee with whipped cream). Both were delicious.
I highly recommend this place, and it’s definitely worth jumping off the highway for. You...
Read moreThe restaurant was clean and the service was good. My boyfriend and I had some high hopes after reading the reviews, but aside from the coffee, I can't say we were fans of anything we ordered.
I decided to order standard Eggs Benedict which was on the list of specials. I thought I couldn't go wrong, but instead of poached eggs, I got fried eggs (still don't understand this), and instead of tasty Canadian bacon, I got a chewy slab of ham. The homefries were okay, but lacking in flavor. My boyfriend ordered the flaming omelette which he didn't have too much to say about, but he found his pancakes were really dry. Overall, I didn't feel it was worth the money we spent. I probably would have been happier making my own breakfast at...
