JR COMPUTER REPAIR AND SALES — Local services in New Bedford

I'm extremely disappointed with my experiences at Jr Computers. On two separate occasions, I was charged a deposit for electronics repairs, only to be told I hadn't paid when I returned to collect my items.

The first incident occurred in December, and I was able to provide an email receipt as proof. However, the second time, I didn't have the receipt readily available, so I paid in full.

Upon reviewing my account, I discovered the error and took a screenshot of the deposit withdrawal. Despite sharing this evidence with the staff, they insisted it was the charge from my first visit in December, ignoring the clear date discrepancy (January 16th).

Further investigation revealed another transaction, including a $9.75 tip from my previous visit in December. Still, the staff refused to acknowledge their mistake.

I hope Jr Computers will take steps to improve their record-keeping and staff training to prevent such errors in the future. Until then, I caution others to carefully document their transactions and be prepared to advocate...

They're nice people, just not good at their jobs. (((UPDATE AS OF JAN 22ND 2025, when i took back the pc to bring it to another repairman, it was discovered that the motherboard was NEVER the problem; and was in fact the MEMORY. These guys wanted me to fork over $300+ for something that wasnt even broken. I was then asked by the owner to remove the negative review for money, specifically $65, should've just offered a refund outright.)) Took my pc to these guys for a potential repair, $65 to find out the motherboard is shot which isn't what I'm complaining about even though that is steep, when I got my PC back from them after deciding to go with a DIFFERENT repair person they discovered that these guys didn't even put the computer back properly, nore did they have everything plugged in. Please..DO NOT trust this place. Brought my IPhone 6 in for a charging issue. $160 later my phone will still only charge in my car (reduced amperage). When I tried calling, got voicemail for days, then got the wife, who for one is very rude...2...she holds down the fort (takes phone calls) while her husband (the man who actually works on your equipment) is off on his full-time job. Regardless, he promised Apple parts. I have since brought my phone to a real Apple dealer who verifies that the parts that Jr's insists are genuine Apple parts came from China... DO NOT TRUST THIS MAN. He co,es off as the greatest guy...religious...looking out for you. THAT IS NOT WHO HE IS. I have taken this to the BBB in hopes to recover some of my lost money.
