My son, sisters, mom and I, visited kids in motion yesterday. I have been here many times, and always seem to have not the best experience. Well yesterday was probably the worst experience we had there. We had only been there for 10 min. And my son was playing on the play structure. I saw him go through one of the tunnels and not come out. After a min of me looking around and seeing not only his feet but another boys feet dangling out of the tunnel, I then realized the other little boy(prob. 3/4 years old)was beating up my son(2 years old.) I knew was helpless because his feet stopped moving. I ran up there as fast as I could, to find this little boy was punching, scratching and pulling his hair. I pulled my son up out of there and he was completely terrified. As in trying to get my son out of there, the boy is following me, kicking, punching, pulling my hair and he even chocked me and left nail marks in my neck. When I looked over my son, he was bleeding in multiple spots. When a worker came over to see what boy it was, she was not concerned about my son at all. Never asked if he was okay, if he needed a bandaid or an ice pack.. Nothing.. When she found the boy and his father, she did nothing, besides tell him what happened. She ended up finding me to let me know the father has him now.. Didn't tell them to leave or anything. Pretty sure he was part of bday party, saw go into a party room and come out and let the kid play again. I saw a few parents go up to him, and then he eventually left. So I believe the bday party told him to leave. I understand that obviously they need to find the boy and get the problem handled, but not once did they ask if my son was okay.. He was bleeding from his face, in multiple places!! The worker even saw that! And to top everything off, the Lady at the register didn't know how to charge cards, so I had to use cash. And other workers had a terrible attitude. One was in the train room while I was in there, picking up the Lego's buy she would throw them really hard into the bin, making a huge scene about it... Then a kid dropped a train in front of her(he was young, didn't know better) and she slammed the train on the table.. That's your job to clean up after children, so don't act so rude about it.. And if you don't like it, find a different job. I would have just wrote the company, explaining my experience, but there is no email address on their website to email, and I'm just so embarrassed about the situation, and can't hold back the tears when I talk about it. I definitely won't be back...
Read moreAttended a child’s bday party here. When the party ended, I accidentally misplaced my wrist key.
I approached the front desk and politely asked one of the staff if I could please have my shoes back for a minute to step outside and check if my husband (who had gone to the car with all of our stuff while we said goodbye to our friends and the bday child) had seen the key in our things.
The woman I spoke with said if I lost the key it would be $25. I repeated my request and she just hit me, again, with “$25 for a lost key”. After her parroting that at me two more times with zero empathy or any modicum of understanding, I snapped that if she wanted to be rude then ok, charge my card. Not 30 mins after arriving at home, we found the wrist key in my kid’s party bag!
I called at least 5x that night to get a refund but the line continued to go to VM despite still being open. Google suggested I text. No one replied. I also called at sporadic times this week and STILL no answer.
My kid had a fun time at the party, but, I can’t in good conscience return here or recommend it to parent friends after my experience. Charging a customer $25 for a lost wrist key that costs .77 cents on any internet promo site like AllPromos is unhinged. Not letting a parent have her shoes for 5 mins to go outside and look for the key is mystifyingly dumb customer service.
If I could give them 0 stars I would. But there’s something to be said for the incredible cajones their management has to charge $25 for a .77 cent wrist key yet still run a facility that looks as rundown as theirs. And for that...
Read moreWe went to a birthday party couple week ago and boy were we appalled at the poor costumer service (for example monotone directions without even pointing to the restrooms) and the absolutely unsanitary condition of this place. Spots, snot like stains, everywhere (do they ever clean this place?). Had to look around for a trash can, most people just leave their used containers all open on the table because trashcans are few and scarce- ended up throwing my take out bags in the bathroom trash cus I didn't find one and I simply cannot leave my food trash out there like others were doing. Most places will make it a rule to take off shoes, for example, but here there was no such rule so you had some people with and some without shoes, besides the party rooms there are no designated places to sit and eat "but if you like you can sit at reception and enjoy your meal there" (seriously!). No allergy safe tables. Party rooms were small and tight fit so we hardly participated in the party room at all. Jackets and the few shoes that were taken off were all in a pile at entrance of playroom -What a mess! We love going to different indoor playgrounds even frequent one a couple miles away but this one is one that unfortunately we will not be visiting again even if invited to a party (I say unfortunately because it had some GREAT play spaces). Would be nice were it not for total lack of organization, and maybe staff training on cleanliness and customer service? IMO...
