I am really struggling to find a reason to go here anymore. Their staff is friendly enough but that's about it. Their inventory is so so, their prices are not great, and their online system is HORRIBLE. I have had about 5 experiences where their website says that a specific item is in stock at this location and then I go there and they are sold out. I no longer trust their inventory and have to call ahead every time and have an employee walk over and physically look and confirm that the item is in stock. Huge headache when their competitors don't seem to have this problem. The last straw for me was today though. I went in to return an unopened online order. I brought all the paperwork that was shipped with the item. They said none of the paperwork will allow them to return the item and they needed the original invoice. "That's fine" I said, I opened the confirmation email I got from Woodcraft when I made the purchase. They said It needs to be printed out, they need a hard copy!?!? Are you kidding me? So I go through the trouble of printing it out. Then they said ok, we can issue you a return now, but we can't refund your sales tax. Ridiculous! To top it all off, they couldn't refund back to my original card, they had to write me a check. All in all, a very unpleasant experience that I don't see the need to ever go through again when their competitors don't have these problems and their prices...
Read moreOk selection, A bit overpriced but mostly quality tools. The only problem is trying to return something. In my experience they try everything to talk you out of it, even lying. My suggestion is to make sure that you REALLY want the item before purchasing because odds are they will try to give in store credit or a check or nothing at all. Which their policy states that if you are not happy you can return within 90 days for a full refund of cash, in store credit YOUR choice. Ended up walking out after the cashier tried 5 separate ways to talk me out of returning the item. Very disappointed that such a big company would pull these desperate, unprofessional scams. I think I will be shopping elsewhere from now on. You have to feel like you can trust a place when you shop there and honestly I don't anymore. It is sad when you trust buying online from a different country more than buying from your local stores. Update: Called the actual Customer service number and she was amazing. Read moreI am writing this review as a last-ditch attempt to restore my support of this store. First off, I want to say that all of the regular staff members have always been kind and courteous. My gripe is that I purchased a woodworking fundamentals class 4 years ago that was cancelled due to COVID lockdown and I still haven't been able to get a refund (or allowed to attend a current class without further charge). I have called every few months for the last 3 years or so and have been told that the regular staff wasn't authorized to make a decision on a refund or scheduling me into a new class. Each time, they have taken my name and number and told me a manager or owner would call me to make this right but I still haven't received a call. I hate using Google reviews to complain about this, but it's been years and I am sick of calling every few months...
