DLay'n Ink Tattoos & Body Piercings. — Local services in New Brighton

I got my first tattoo done here, and I’m 54 years old. First off, the shop is bright, clean, and inviting if you can overlook a bit of profanity (I can). Josh does first rate work. He takes his time. He makes sure it’s what you want. It’s surely art in a fine form. Those are true plusses of Josh and his work, and his shop. Here’s the down side. He is not good at scheduling or being on time. He doesn’t have a good scheduling system, when all thats needed is a scheduling book and a pencil. I had my tattoo done in 3 appointments and all 3 were not on time. Sometimes it was 30 minutes late, and the last time it was 2-1/2 hours late as he double booked the appointment time. He also told me my work would likely take 4-6 hours. It ended up around 12. I’m not complaining about that. I ended up with a high quality piece artwork on my shoulder. Just know mine was seriously underestimated. The end result was a fine tattoo with frustrating scheduling and time estimation. Expect nice work with the downside of scheduling difficulty. In fairness, Josh adjusted his rate each time based on his time estimate. I know it’s a mixed review. ...

Okay so this was about 2 weeks ago. Requested an appointment online for 6pm days ahead of time. No one got back to me and they also have on facebook they took walk ins. AND google says they were open. After 0 communication to me i figured i had an appointment. Showed up doors were locked, called no one answered. Great waste of my time, gas money and excitement. Literally 0 communication with customers. Sent a message over facebook, then got a message back saying their booking was messed up or something and said they could get me in a while later. ( i knew was bs because so many other have had this same problem but i didn’t think it would happen to me because it was like during normal opening hours for any shop) Why would I think they would be able to pierce properly if they can’t even contact and talk to their customers let alone care to. Tomorrow will be my 3rd tattoo by Josh and I couldn’t be more excited!! Super clean, welcoming shop (which means a lot to me since I’m super big on cleanliness) he keeps you occupied while getting the tattoo so we don’t have that weird silence or focusing on the pain of the tattoo! Pricing is so very reasonable for his quality of work! He takes his time and makes sure you find the work perfect! Pays attention to every little detail!! Just all around amazing! I can’t find 1 reason to ever complain! He’ll definitely always have my services and always highly recommend him to everyone I know!!...
