I regret buying a Ford in general. I own a 2014 Ford Focus and the clutch went bad after purchasing from a used car lot called “Long’s Auto”. Along with purchasing the car, I had an drivetrain warranty. After a few months, my reverse stopped working temporarily so I took it in to see what was going on. There were several recalls so they advised me to focus on those. After getting the TCM and deformed gas tank replaced, the car ran well for a while but the problem started again. This time, the car wouldn’t switch out of neutral. I’ve scheduled appointments there several times but most of them, I was unable to make it because of the car problems. Note that when you express that you’ve had concerns for a while, they ignore all of the times you’ve reached out. You literally have to go from person to person to prove that you’ve been unhappy because each of them act as if they have no idea what’s going on with the next at all. In 2020 when Coronavirus came into play, it was extremely hard to make any appointments because of how long you had to wait. Mind you, I’m still depending on the car to commute the whole time. The service manager accused me of lying but little does he know, I have years worth the video/photo evidence that I’ve had this same problem for years. He took lite of my situation and was even smiling / laughing while saying these things. He said I waited too long in between appointments to seem like I’m telling the truth but even with that, I’ve had to buy other cars to make it through these phases so stressing about the car everyday wasn’t on my agenda.. The funny part is that I’ve even spoken with people on the sales floor and they tried to have me trade it in at some price from $1000-$1500 due to the “transmission malfunctions”. I don’t remember his name but he is of a Hispanic descent and he has something going on with his hand (he could validate my story). I even went a long time believing that the TCM might’ve went bad but in my last visit maybe a week ago, a man named Orlando told me that it’s usually the clutch. Mind you, they told me to bring it in last year on Valentine’s Day to have a diagnostic but said if it wasn’t the TCM, I’d owe them $375 and even then, the car wouldn’t function properly for long enough to make it there. On top of that, I hadn’t been informed that they could’ve been picking up my vehicle for recall appointments. Personally, I feel like that alone is bad business because they know the clutches go bad fast but left me in the dark in an attempt to get me to waste money instead of being transparent. You can tell that they’re trained to minimize helping people due to not wanting to make Ford lose money. Even when I asked the service manager why was there never a code to inform me that the clutch was bad if they already did a transmission diagnostic to replace the TCM and he diverted it to the amount of time that went by. Also, he told me that the clutch has nothing to do with the reverse going out but the research I’ve done completely says otherwise. The lady that does the scheduling (Calenthia or something like that) called me after hearing a voicemail I left and flat out told me that she didn’t even listen to it because she felt like I was complaining too much then tried to tell me she wasn’t going to help me at all until I brought up knowing about the lemon law along with legal action. Mid sentence all of a sudden, she was open to helping and scheduling like she’s paid to do. After checking to see what was wrong, they told me it was the clutch. I’d recommend never talking to them on the phone because they’ll act like your vocal concerns never existed. Get everything that they tell you in writing if you do talk to them. I don’t see how a person could call with concerns and them not feeling like taking any notes makes sense. If you have a Ford that wasn’t built well and has a lot of recalls, just take the matter to the attorney general and sue on behalf of the lemon law because they’re going to play games with you. Maybe it’s just this location but I’ll never buy...

Read moreI brought my car in there on my day off just for recall fixes. Recalls cost nothing to fix. I was talked into a 94 $ oil change. They messed up the sync 3 update. Somehow a cross traffic Module went bad. It was covered by my extended warranty. But charged me 150$ out of pocket for a diagnostics for something they messed up on. When. Then charged me for an air bag fault which cost me another 268$ diagnostics..Then fixed that. Then while driving the car. A reverse brake assist popped up on my dash. Brought it back to the dealer. They wanted to charge me another 250 $ diagnostic bill. Then they so called found the issue which was the mechanics fault for not installing the rear view camera bracket properly. Which was part of the recall. Then all was fixed. Which i thought. Then while they was bring my car back to me. The driver says my engine light came on. Which is true because it popped up on my ford pass app on my phone. The driver called me and said he's going to take it back to the dealer. The dealership called me an hour later and says the Diagnostic error codes having to do with cam shaft misaligned or something to that nature. I asked him. How did that happen? He says , oh. Things just happen. Then he suggested i pay another 250 $ diagnostics fee. That's when I had enough. And said no. I will go somewhere else. Now mind you, before I went to them the first time, just for a recall fix. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the car at all. Just to get the recall fix done. Everytime they returned my car to me. There was a new problem. At first when he said my cross traffic module went bad. I almost believed him. Then all the other issues started going wrong while at their dealership. Then I started getting feeling like they were sabotaging my car so they can charge me those outlandish diagnostics fees since I had the extended warranty. After all .they have to get that commission. So as of today my car is still having issues which I think was caused by the first visit which they supposedly changed my oil . But I think they put the wrong oil in my car and that's why it's stalling when it gets hot. Which I read up on and the cades I get are consistent with the way my car is acting. But they don't want to take responsibility for making the mistake. I am going to take a oil sample from my car oil intake and send it to get analyzed. That will tell me what kind of oil was put in my car. They check for the proper Viscosity. Ect... So no. I will not recommend anyone to New Brighton Ford....
