Subway — Restaurant in New Brighton

I used to love going to this location since it’s near by where I currently live, but the past couple of times I have gone to this specific location I have gotten very sick.

The first time was on 3/27/23. I thought that I was just sensitive to something in the food until Wednesday, 4/12/23. My friend picked us up some sandwiches and we both ate them. I made a comment that something tasted different, but it didn’t taste off enough to raise any red flags. That is until the next day, 4/13/23 when I became very sick.

Again, I thought that it was just my stomach being weird because I have a sensitive stomach, until I found out today, 4/14/23, that my friend was also very sick yesterday and today. She very rarely gets sick, so that leaves only one possibility: food poisoning. Both of us have been completely bed ridden for the past two days, other than making emergency trips to the porcelain throne. Tried ordering 4 different sandwiches since they didn't have the main ingredients for the one I wanted. They weren't able to make any of the 4 as they didn't have the ingredients. I have been here a few times b4 and they weren't open during posted hrs either. Lastly, it would be reasonable for the workers with long, dangling hair to perhaps wear a hair net. Pretty disappointing for a franchise. They did recently remodel, so I generously gave them 3 stars for Atmosphere. Nothing is perfect, but this is a poorly run business, at best. Poor enough that I cannot even fill out the questions requested in the review such as how much I spent, what I bought and what dishes I would recommend...... I’m sorry, but this Subway is not the one. Was told it was closed but should be open another hour. But because I placed an online order and could see my food, I could grab it.

Food came out looking like the photo. Not toasted, no cheese, not cut, and just a general mess.

Asked for teriyaki sauce into a small cup but they’re all out but did add it to my sub. They added oil to my sub instead of teriyaki sauce.

From my brief interaction with the two workers left, I wasn’t going to complain at the moment because both had the same demeanor towards me and as I left they both yelled no refunds. Odd thing to say as a customer is leaving. Should’ve went to McDonald’s...
