ALDI — Local services in New Britain

I actually love the lower prices compared to the big name grocery store, good quality foods, and plenty organic options. I treat the family to grass fed ny strip from time to time , great tasting and great price. But, I'm thinking this particular store is short staffed. I went to buy a gallon of milk, there were at least 4 jugs spilling and broken as well as a huge puddle of milk in front of the cooler . I needed milk so I walked into the cooler while navigating around the milk puddle, had to move several broken gallons while trying to reach one that was in good shape. I could tell that it had been like that for some time due to the fact that the stack below the broken ones was half empty. New Britain Aldi needs to take their customer service more serious some of the cashiers are so rude and throw your groceries into your cart. Like cans on top of our veggies. Yea I live in New Britain, but I frequent the Southington and the Bristol Aldi and they are ALWAYS WAY more pleasant than my neighborhood store. Please teach your employees to be inclusive of everyone. The NB store tends to pick and choose when they want to cash people out. I don’t understand why when there are 15 people in line and a worker just walking around checking prices or pulling boxes. Us as customers pull the boxes half the time. No I’ve been shopping at this store since it opened and when the employees are disrespectful it very frustrating and annoying. I buy my groceries here multiple times a week. Loved this store in the past and since remodeling store October 2020, management & staff are less than helpful.

Sometimes we shop at other locations and find the service much friendlier & better.

Previous mgmt here was better.

It's the only grocery store close to home within 12 blocks walking distance. No longer able to walk that far so I'm now taking medical taxi.

85%+ of my groceries come from here, supplemented by Costco and meals on wheels.

Update October 2020. Store expanded & remodeled. New management & staff are mediocre.

Store isles are now wider but food is badly sorted. Still have trouble finding food after a year. Less food is in this store. Wider isles means less food. What the heck?
